I take it that is not the original case? Looking at pictures on my phone at night with aging eyes. :-)

Hi all,
Correct, the case is not original to this rifle but original H&H for DR and mine fits almost perfectly. I sourced some matching wool baize from the UK after a lot of research to trim the barrel block.
I used to live a few hours from George Caswell and made many trips to Enid. I found this rifle 6 years ago after searching for a few years and it fits like it was made for me. Some will denigrate the post war guns but this has the fit and finish of the earlier rifles (I have owned a H&H from 1909 finished in the twenties and handled many more) and I presume a lot of the early post war guns were made by the old workers. This one has the modern steel and bolstered action that I sought.
The 24” barrels are much faster on target for me than the 26” and it truly feels like my bird guns for snap shots.
I have an original unopened jungle tin and a good amount of collectible Kynoch ammo that will be included.
As stated I’m more than happy to send this rifle to the H&H gun room in Dallas for them to go over with you prior to finalizing the sale or DR expert of your choice. I don’t think that this rifle has been fired 50 times from new.
I have other things that I’d put this money towards and am still in NA hunting mode wanting to focus on sheep. I would consider a trade for a Heym 89b plus money to keep a double rifle.
I’m off the next few days and happy to take more pics, answer questions
Fred, great that you reached out! I hope you’re well friend and I still have the same cell and email

I will likely send to H&H to consign in the next month or two. If you’re interested I’m sure that I can give a better deal and flexibility as far as trades and terms than they will

Drool.....
The 500/465 has a lower chamber pressure than many other DG double cartridges. Beautiful balance of power and handling qualities. I envy whoever can take advantage of this offer. GLWS

Hey Steve, This is Steve Washington we met at KMG last year. I am interested in your Winchester. Would love to speak with you about it. I work third shift and I cannot take a phone with me to work. Let me know a good time to call during one of your mornings. My phone is 239 565-8988. Live in Florida so I have to account for the time difference.
Look forward to hearing from you.

Good day, Slider.

Do you by any chance have any 500NE brass left that you are willing to part ways with?

Best regards,
Boela Bekker.
