    Thoughts on Craig Boddington?

I do not know Red Leg and from his posts I have no desire to. I do know Craig Boddington. Pretty easy to chastise someone on a open forum when the person being chastised is not privy to the conversation or can defend himself. There are many who fail in business ventures. Did Craig hurt you...

Oh boy. Now you are also a expert and student regarding Craig Boddington on both his personal and business life. Geeeez is there anything that you are not a expert on?? Pretty large man who can discuss another man’s life without walking in his shoes. Very easy to have a one sided conversation...

Blaser R8 - Why do African PH’s and Alaskan Bear Guides Choose Not To Use Blaser R8’s?

Argument or the truth . The R8 action has design problems (the actions are machined to to close of tolerances) the actions are prone to jam up with sand . Not ideal for DG hunting. I was pretty excited when the R8 was introduced a while back .I thought I wanted one. After all the safety...

Blaser R8 - Why do African PH’s and Alaskan Bear Guides Choose Not To Use Blaser R8’s?

Red Leg , Rudeness, Really? maybe you are the internet expert I am speaking of. Owning a bunch of guns that have no history and sound like they have never been used does not make one a expert. Again , rattling off a bunch of names of the various rifles you possess does not make you a expert...

Blaser R8 - Why do African PH’s and Alaskan Bear Guides Choose Not To Use Blaser R8’s?

I love hunting rifles. I spend enough time at the gun club to have shot about every type of hunting rifle used today. My discussion is primarily directed at some of the newer hunters who are trying to get informed opinions and experiences. There are many DGR options available used and new...

Blaser R8 - Why do African PH’s and Alaskan Bear Guides Choose Not To Use Blaser R8’s?

Why do the PH’s who are hunting DG and the great bears chose not to use the Blaser R8’s? I am not talking about the outfitters who run the high fence concessions in SA in a semi controlled environment, but the the PH’s hunting wild Africa as in Tanzania or the great bear guides in Alaska. If the...

What Calibre to Bring on a One-Gun Safari?

I didn’t read the article. I have been traveling with hunting Guns for 30+ years. I have always traveled with a substantial two gun case . Never have I been in a situation with customs , TSA or airlines where having two guns in my gun case was treated any differently than if I had only one gun...

Rigby - Highland Stalker now in .300 Win Mag

The popular Rigby Highland Stalker is now being offered in .300 Win Mag.. What’s the deal with the huge price increase for the new .300 Win Mag ($19,995.00 U.S.D.) over the .275 Rigby and 9.3X62 at ($10,995.00) that’s like a 50% price hike. Is this a misprint? The regular line Highland...

    John Rigby rifle

Hi. I recently went through pretty thorough research on the current remanufacture of the “Mauser branded” Mauser 98 Magnum action built over the past 35 years or so . I found three different Mauser branded manufacturers over that time, Rhinemetal , Prechtl, Blaser Group. I have owned a...
