Just for thought, but if you desired to hunt all continents which countries would you travel to?

Africa and South America are easy for me. I may be wrong here, but think New Zealand and Australia are the same continent. There’s several good places to hunt in Europe and North America. I would have no clue about Asia. Whats everyone’s opinions?

I would like to hunt in Romania some day. Red stag, boar, fallow deer. I believe it is a country with a lot of wilder places than most European destinations.

There are a lot of hunting opportunities in Asia. Look at the hunting consortium’s website. They list all the countries and game very clearly. I haven’t looked in a while but only a few are outdated such as China.

This is on my bucket list as well.
Asia is the toughest to get comfortable with. I’d like to do Tajikistan for ibex. It’s fairly reasonable but not one I want to do completely alone.

If I could only hunt in one country per continent, I would hunt Cameroon in Africa, Argentina in South America, Canada in North America, Russia in Asia, Australia for Oceania, and Spain in Europe.

I want to hunt penguins on Antarctica with a vintage Ithaca double gun to say I hunted the 7th!

I’ve been to some already but here’s a ranking:
Africa - 1. Tanzania. 2. Ethiopia. 3. CAR.
NA - 1. Canada. 2. Mexico.
SA - 1. Argentina.
Asia - 1. Mongolia. 2. Tajikistan. 3. Nepal.
Europe - 1. Spain. 2. Romania. 3. Switzerland
Oceania - 1. Australia. 2. New Zealand.

I actually think New Zealand is not part of the continent of Australia because it is geologically located on a different plate - I would have to research to be sure.

Personally, I would like to shoot bovine on all 6 continents that have them.
I have shot:
Bison and muskox in Alaska,
Water buffalo in Argentina
Cape buffalo x2 in South Africa
Scheduled for water buffalo and banteng in Australia - hopefully July 2022.

That leaves Wisent in Europe and ??? is Asia. Himalayan yak is probably out of my price range,

I have hunted Romania. While the places I hunted were not very wild, there is some pretty wild places there. Where I was at the hunting was very good. I just felt like we were always right on the outskirts of a city.

Africa - many options, but Namibia and South Africa are most visited
North America: USA and Canada
South America: Argentina
Europe: Many options: UK, Spain, Austria, Czecz republik, Croatia, Serbia... anywhere
Australia - Australia, of course and NZ
Asia: Pakistan, Kazakhstan, Asian part of Russia. etc

My list
NA- Canada
SA- Argentina
Africa-Tanzania
Europe- Romania
Oceania- New Zealand
Asia- tough to say. Probably Turkey

Good to know. Getting input from folks like yourself is why I appreciate this community! I’ll do my research here first.

I have read reports on here from people that hunted huge tracts of open land over there. It’s a beautiful country and the people are very nice.

Is Water Buffalo a hunt that you would recommend?

You hit the mark on Romania, I really want to hunt here. I stupidly well not stupidly spent several weeks traveling in Romania before they joined the EU and kick myself for not booking a hunt. Everyhere I hicked way off grid was super wild and I saw a lot of tracks and sign. My other bucket list place would be Uganda on countries that are open to hunt.

@Hookboy88. I would highly recommend a water buffalo hunt in Northern Australia.

I have a Chapuis 450-400 double that looks brand new and shoots well, never been hunted from what I can tell. I am willing to part with it as I have a 375 H&H Sodia on it's way from Dorleac & Dorleac. I am looking for $9,250 for it and if you are interested, I am happy to send you some pictures. Regards,
Steve
