I don't know much of Alec Baldwin , nor did I know he was an Anti.
Let's not forget a human lost their life in a tragic accident. Probably going to become a statistic that is used by the antis.
I had no idea who Helyna Hutchins was but sadly she's gone leaving family behind and another crew person injured.
This might not be the place to make light of the irony of Baldwin's situation. He shot and killed another person, unintentionally, accidentally and perhaps someone will be held accountable.

Baldwin is an abusive dirtbag. The only thing that surprises me is that it took him until his 60s to do something this stupid.

Shouldn't be lost that Baldwin was a producer for this movie, thus he hired the armorer who handed him a loaded pistol which he failed to check. As with any tragedy like this, I feel sympathy for the victim and family. Hopefully, Baldwin gets what any of the rest of us would be getting in the same circumstance.

It’s hard for us not to be bitter with Alec @CBH Australia . He was an outspoken critic of gun owners, stated in many ways, many times how stupid and regressed we are, how no one should have weapons, and spent 5 years impersonating Donald Trump in a mocking way to antagonize half the country on SNL.

Without making light of the loss of life of a woman that was doing nothing but her job as a cinematographer, its pretty hard for half the nation not to see the irony in the fact that her murderer could have spent a few minutes learning gun safety rather than spending a lifetime mocking gun owners and the victim would be alive today.

It amazes me that they use real guns with real ammo on movie sets, yet the actor isn’t obligated to do what any gun owner would do in the real world. Treat every gun as if it were loaded. Disbelieve any claim that a gun is unloaded until verified personally. Nope, in Hollywood you just have a prop person come over and say “the gun is dead” and you can handle it with no further personal obligation to trust but verify that fact.

I have read where with the movie-people's guild/union/whatever, the rule is there should be no live ammo on set, nor in people's trailers, nor apparently in any other place on or near the set.

There seems to be a very fishy smell around this whole story. Someone was gravely negligent that day. Or this was no accident.

Nonetheless, this keeps happening. Brandon Lee, Bruce Lee’s son died from a blank round during the filming of “the crow”.

Sometimes its a squib load that becomes a deadly projectile. Even then, the studios are NEVER supposed to allow a gun to be aimed at a person as injuries from blanks happen. The magic of Hollywood and filming angles are supposed to permit the actors to aim adjacent to each other during such shots.

Someone mentioned to me that apparently these idiots were actually shooting these handguns the day before with real ammo. Somehow one or two got mixed with the blanks. Not 100% sure if this is true or not.

I agree totally. What I find hypocritical is the actors who make millions from the firearms filled Movies they make are then totally anti gun.

He has always been one of the way far left asses that mock and criticize anything moderate or conservative. He blatted up and down that if Trump were elected he would move to Canada posthaste. Well, we know how that played out. He's still here and still shooting (no pun intended) his mouth off about how everything in this country is so bad. Going to be very interesting to see how this plays out.

Read somewhere the armourer of this movie is the daughter of Thell Reed.

Old timers will recall him as being one of those who started the Southwestern Combat Pistol League with Jeff Cooper and a few others. He had the fastest draw of them all, and then went to the movie business, training actors.

I was thinking about that very thing. Why were the cinematographer and the other guy in the line of fire? Is Baldwin that poor a shot that he missed his target that much or was she the intended target? After all, her husband works for a law firm that testified against the Clintons. Could it be-----?

The one thing which points away from "accident" is I expect Baldwin couldn't hit the wall of a barn with a gun even if he were inside it

I agree, the process should be more stringent.
It seems the responsibility to check and clear sits with the theatrical armourer and their staff. That's not good enough either. The court will ask. Who fired the Fatal shot.

He may get be the biggest prick going but I bet he's feeling pretty bad about it and will have to live with it.

I was told that our special response team police have a stringent protocol in loading blanks for training with blanks. Something like each blank round is handled and checked by 3 different individual participants before being put in firearms or magazines.

Sounds like the film industry could learn a lot.

It will be interesting to learn of this is a freak accident from a blank or stupidity, negligence and a live round..

I do agree that actors should be part of the process to inspect and clear the firearms.

It was reported he was purposely drawing and (I assume) dry firing at the lens of the camera as the cinematographer and director observed from behind the camera. With what appears to be a Single Action Army revolver - that he obviously Did Not Verify Clear Himself. IMO.

Takes about three or four seconds. Open the loading gate and look through each cylinder.

We sure don’t want him up here we have enough problems with liberals
