I am glad to see that there is a bipartisan effort in congress to condemn QAnon. I am not involved online with social media outside of this forum, and I find these type of online conspiracy movements to be extremely troubling.

Where is the bipartisan condemnation of the Russia gate Conspiracy.

I'm not up on the news and I don't know what QAnon is all about, but the on-line search indicated that it is some religious group that dislikes Jews and is supposed to adhere to some of Jesus' teachings I recall a disruption several years ago in the church that I attended. There was a discussion of doctrine. Two or three other churches in the area had virtually disbanded and some of those people had started attending the church I attended, bringing their doctrines with them. Our pastor said that in order to understand the teachings of the New Testament we must understand its context provided by the Old Testament- that Jesus was a Jew and that His intent was to fulfill Old Testament teachings, not destroy them. That basically all Christians were Jews by adoption. The church was what was referred to as "fundamentalist' in that it's doctrine indicated that one's behavior should be consistent with biblical teachings and that adherents were open minded as to apparent discrepancies between scripture and scientific knowledge.

Some of the transfers from other doctrines became incensed- one woman said the Old testament was meaningless because she (they) were "New Testament Christians". She cared not what the context of the New testament was- that she could read it and understand it fully as a stand-alone document. The result was that the newcomers made things unbearable for the pastor the district superintendent lacked leadership, so the pastor accepted a call from another church and a new pastor came- only to be met with renewed adversity. In thinking about that situation (which was about 15 years ago and I have since been attending a different church) I can see several similarities between what happened in that church and what is happening in the US today.

A small group of people who for some reason have concluded that they have the answer and only answer to perceived problems have set about to destroying the country as it presently exists. Hopefully there will be a resumption of civility to the process and the nation won't follow the pattern of that church, because even fifteen years later, it is clear that it has not recovered. With the US, there are too many other countries and factions that would not let a weakness pass without taking advantage of it, so while the church can continue to plod along with the hope that someday things will get back to normal, the country doesn't have that option- unless learning a new language of those that take over the US is an acceptable option.

So I hope that whatever beliefs the QAnon and the other radical groups hold, they will realize where the road is going on which they seem to be traveling and adjust their behavior to be more productive.

QAnon is a far right extreme conspiracy theory group... not unlike the far left "green" folk that love AOC...

Both take a couple of nuggets of verifiable "truth", and then shroud it in unsubstantiated "facts", and often outright lie.. in order to try to obtain what they want..

QAnon did a "Q Drop" back in 2017 saying they had verifiable evidence that the DOJ was arresting Hillary Clinton on charges tied to child sex trafficking no later than July 15th, 2017...

AOC tells us back in march that she has scientific proof that the world will end in 12 years if we dont buy into her Green New Deal...

Lies and bullshit delivered with the same empty promises of evidence, proof, and legitimacy that never is actually released... just falling out of different peoples mouths that have different political values..

the "truth" stopped being a political weapon/tool a long time ago unfortunately..

"Q", or Q anonymous, aka Qanon, is someone who claims to be on the inside of classified information.

The latest theory, is that Trump is in a fight against a clandestine group of "deep state", which includes, politicians, media, corporates, and the entertainment industry. Also claiming that these entities are part of a Satanic cult, and child trafficking.

Considering the actions of many of the far left, I don't find this conspiracy too far fetched.

There is a concerted effort by left wing social media platforms to remove Qanon's digital voice and footprints. Facebook removed a group of 200,000 Qanon supporters, as well as tik Tok, and others.You notice how they don't do that to the left-wing nuts????????

Regardless of the conspiracy, free speech, and opinion are under assault.

Qanon stating there are deep state politicians, media, corporations, and entertainers out to get Trump... well... no kidding.. its not like they have tried to hide that...

Tie in sex and child trafficking.. with all of the crap surrounding Weinstein (entertainment), Epstein (corporate), and others... again.. no kidding.. all well documented.. all easy enough to prove.. and not exactly new "news" to any of us..

Throw in satan and clandestine.. and suddenly you have something for everyone to get fired up about...

But.. I'll bet my next paycheck.. that like every other "Q-Drop" that has happened in the last few years.. no evidence is ever brought forward and nothing is ever proven..

The argument will be made its because the deep state is so powerful, the money corporations provide is so great, the reach of social media is so deep.. that they were able to rush to hide and delete everything.. but.. IT REALLY DID EXIST!

Ok.. if thats true.. then how is it that all of that power, money, and reach hasnt been able to unveil the "ananymous" person(s) behind Qanon?

I was going to watch the re-air of the Mariners-Padres game after the convention, but the Mariners voted (unanimously I read) to not play due to the "problems" in Kenosha and elsewhere. I may just skip watching anymore baseball is they are going to act like a bunch of basketballers.

I have been a Thunder season ticket holder since they moved to OKC. The Thunder had a scheduled playoff game tonight which they postponed. Since the bubble started, they have taken a knee during the anthem.

I don't want to make a rash decision. We have a lot of time, money and emotions invested in a really neat team, that means a lot to this community. Next years tickets are already bought and paid for. We may just give them to employees, vendors and friends. A final decision will have to wait till I have a clearer head.
