Leftwing UK newspaper was at SCI

I heard you looked for a protestor and couldn't find one.

They sure like to use words like "gruesome".....etc..

Is their a newspaper in the UK that's not left wing? No.

According to an article published by LiveScience (Oct. 03, 2012):

***
"Fragments of a 1.5-million-year-old skull from a child recently found in Tanzania suggest early hominids weren't just occasional carnivores but regular meat eaters, researchers say.

The finding helps build the case that meat-eating helped the human lineage evolve large brains, scientists added.

"I know this will sound awful to vegetarians, but meat made us human," said researcher Manuel Domínguez-Rodrigo, an archaeologist at Complutense University in Madrid."

***

I am beginning to suspect that the vegan ancestors of British reporters (especially ole Christopher Buckton) failed to get the "meat-eating" memo a couple of million years ago. (IMO)

I could give a shit less what a moron like this thinks. I acknowledge his and those like him' presence and stay vigilant to the danger they pose but I can't stomach reading or hearing their idiotic rhetoric.

Blah, Blah, Blah....a bunch of garbage. Someone should have asked him what the anti's do, that's so great for wildlife conservation?

Looking around I think there some bad shots on here just kidding

I am thankful that my branch of the human evolutionary tree (and not the baboons) decided to climb down from the trees and begin foraging and hunting for meat. Last week, I watched the Planet of the Apes movie for the 3rd time and ..................................

Have you read the comments ?...........looney

This is where we need solid rebuttal from any pro hunting organization or my pet peeve suggestion a high powered PR firm to stand up for us. Silence is deadly for hunting.

Hay you chaps, you really don't need to get worked up about this. The Mirror is not regarded as a proper newspaper here in the U.K. most folks who "read" this rag cant find they way back from the chippy never mind know were Africa is. This in my opinion is a non news story.

Greetings MarkCZ,

From my perspective, it appears that Great Britain has an unusually high number of rabid anti-hunters (on a per capita basis) when compared to Spain, France, Germany, Portugal, Italy, Norway, Belgium, etc.. Assuming that you agree with my perspective and/or observation, why is this so? Is it because they are jealous that other countries are blessed with an abundance of wildlife (i.e. - bear, moose, elk, deer, wild boar, waterfowl, etc.)? Is it because most western countries have a rich hunting heritage; whereas, only royalty and their minions were entitled to hunt in Great Britain (until recently)?

Also, why is it that their default verbiage is always "rich, white, male, American trophy hunters"?

Cheers and thanks for your feedback.

Hi gvincen,
we don't have more anti hunters than most other places per head of population its just that they are more voiciferus and have been given free reign by ignorant newspapers. The level of ingnorance towards hunting in the U.K. is astounding. Someone who should have known better actually tried to tell me that all hunting in the continent of Africa was banned after I had just returned! We are no longer a rural society. We are largely ran by urban governments who do not care about the countryside or those who work and live there and there is lots of jealousy towards land owners.
The "League against cruel sports" are the main organisation opposed to any involvement with animals for sport or food and are so radical that they would rather the extinction of a species than it be hunted, managed. I am not too sure of my facts but I believe their membership is below 5000. The Countryside alliance (pro hunting) has about 150,000 and B.A.S.C. has about 100,000 also pro hunt.
Another point that I would like to make is that the "antis" hate people more than they love animals if infact they even love animals I once had my 8 year old son assaulted when out hunting. These folks are bullies and are more interested in imposing their will on folk than saving one animal.
Not sure why they pick on Americans but over here we tend not to tell many people about our activities, just the way we are.

The Mirror was that scandal rag that was criminally prosecuted for phone hacking. Speaks volumes about them

Greetings MarkCZ,

Thanks for your response. Over here in the states we have what I refer to as your "garden variety" anti-hunters (all talk and no walk). For example, the Global March for Elephant and Rhino organized a protest over at the Dallas Safari Club and approximately 20 ignorant protesters attended. IMO, had the DSC held their convention and expo in the UK, several thousand protesters (led by ole Pieter Scat) would have participated. One UK anti-hunting buffoon calling himself Peshotan "The Myth" Pavri actually threatened (via Facebook) to attack the DSC Convention and Expo. Also, when debating anti-hunters on their various social media sites (especially Facebook), the UK anti-hunters are usually the first to resort to death threats, name calling, and other vulgarities. I suspect that if an American hunter would whack over the head an ole bling (i.e. - collar) wearing grizzly bear adjacent to Denali National Park (Alaska), it wouldn't even make the local news. But, if that same American hunter whacks an ole bling wearing lion or elephant adjacent to a national park in Southern Africa, then all hell breaks lose. Go figure!

Cheers, keep well, and safe hunting!

Hello! I saw your post from last year about a missing crate from your hunt in Moz. I am curious how that all turned out? We (my fiancé and I) also hunted in Moz in 2024 and the trophies are being shipped with Hunters Services Limitada. We have some concerns on whether we will get the trophies home or not. May I ask who you hunted with?
