I have decided to have my trophies mounted in the Eastern Cape instead of dip and pack. I have reviewed several taxidermists in the area. One is Umlindi. Does any one have any knowledge of them and there work?

Who does your outfitter suggest? Often times they have good relationships with particular vendors. I can not say anything about the one you mention.

Check out relive Africa taxidermy...Excellent reputation. Talk to BillC here on the forum. He has his trophies there and has visited the shop.

Thank you for the information. Yes I would be interested in receiving feedb

Yes I would be interested in Relive Africa as well. Any additional comments would be welcome.

Your welcome...They have an excellent reputation. I plan on usung them when I hunt in SA in 2017.

Another option is Bullseye Taxidermy in Vaalwater, SA. I've been 100% satisfied with their work for me.

Many place to pick from and I check them all out on line. One always stood out to me and that was relive. I had my trophys shipped from the limpo and northwest to the cape to have the work done. I decide last trip I would stop in to see the place before making the final choice. Glad to say after meeting paul and seeing the shop I did not need to look anywhere else.

Many place do ok work but to many make animals to blocky looking to me in the head area. They either use older style molds or just don't rework the forms. You will see a few post in the taxidermy section here. I have two threads started one for my sons lioness another for plains game. You will see the effort and work relive puts in to the forms if you look at those threads. All the work in the shop looked the same and of great quality. Place was clean and well kept and that was the first thing the ph who went with us noticed. Said must places do not look like this and he was impressed.

have any question feel free to Pm me on here. thanks Billc

Have a great trip also

p.m bob pucket
im sure he is a return client of thiers .....
he will tell his honest opinion..........

I'm with billc on relive. I visited the shop last week and was impressed with the work in general and the lioness they are doing for bill in particular.

My animals are either there, or will be shortly (two different trips).

Bullseye is great! I used them on my last Safari. However they are a long ways from the Eastern Cape.

Good day
I hope you are doing well.
I also have a taxidermy in the eastern cape of south africa. Our turn around time is 3 months.
Let me know if you would like any more information.
Regards

I have not personally used them. I would recommend Trans African Taxidermists. None of my clients that have used them have had any issues / hassles to date.

Trans African are awesome, I agree 100%

We are behind Relive Africa Taxidermy with Paul Smith - great work and outstanding craftsmanship!

Hey guys, give Paul at Relive a break! He needs time to get my work done. He has all my stuff that is in RSA and more on the way from Zim. and he'll get my next stuff as well.

I am loving the communication, sometimes it is a week or so out but it is thorough and concise. and beats the heck out the months between any word from the other shop we used

Bob that is a good one. He is by far one of the best I have used in every step of the way. I do believe he did get caught up even with all the animals you,tim ad royal dropped off. My order is done other then waiting on the giraffe tanned back skin.

I did make sure he would be able to handle my next order come aug. of 2016. Going to be another big order 7 guys total in my group this year as of now. He is growing for sure but did everything custom on my mounts I ask for and then some. He will not just put work out to get it done but really cares about his name in his business.

Guys dont make the mistake of using the big names you here throw around with out checking out relive. Every ones trophys get done the same not like someplace who only do the great work on the high dollar clients. Bigger is not always better in the taxidermy world of work.

@billc The only other thing I can add is; "Whew!" thank God he is almost done with your stuff! :S Master: :A Worshipl:
So now maybe Paul can start calling me Bob rather than "bill" :S Oops:... Guess I know where I stand in the Taxidermy World anyway :A Wave Sad::S New Here:

lol bob just think how pauls feels dealing with me for all this time now. He may have called his wife bill by mistake as much as we have chatted. But never did he make me feel like I asked for to much which was great. Just was always yup we will make it happen and then prove he did make it happen with a picture.

I am looking forward to seeing yours ,tim and royals stuff when you get it back.
