AH Dangerous Game Hunt In The Limpopo Valley For 2026 With MATTANJA HUNTING SAFARIS

AH Members, 2 spots have been booked by 2 couples.
We have 4 spots left for this group hunt for 2026!

Here is a short video to give you a sense of the lodging. The river and lake below the lodge is where we hunt for croc.

Very nice! Unfortunately, the dates don’t work for me in 2026 but I’m sure you’ll have a great time!
@375Ruger416 if you can't go next year, I will be offering another DG Group Hunt in 2027 and in the years to come as well!

That’s great! I will be looking for my first Cape buffalo hunt in 2027 and already have my wife’s support :). I hope to take my 375 H&H for its first trip to the range next week.

Excellent. Take a look at the 300 TSX. You can literally do a one gun/one load safari with that. The 300 TSX is one of our favorite bullets.

Well, happily those are the only premium ammo I’ve been able to find. Have 4 boxes for the time being, lots of 270 and 300 gr SP around but I’ve had good luck with Barnes in other cartridges and hope to use either TSX or A-Frames.

This topic comes up a lot but basically, it's hard to find A-frames to reload and sometimes in factory loadings. The TSX is pretty easy to find and replace. Both are excellent bullets.

Here is a short video to show some of the terrain from a helicopter as well as a couple of the rhinos. This area is pretty open compared to where the buff would be. You can see any shot won't be very long...200 would be a very long shot. 100 or less is very common.

How many buffalo are on the property, and how many mature bulls are in the heard?

This is a great opportunity to get a rhino darted. Only one of these is available for this group hunt offer.

The last 2 AH hats made from the SCI get together were given away to members @Dirtdart and @BeeMaa. I was thinking of a new batch for the folks who attend this group hunt. This one is Olive with gold embroidery. A Carhart tan with black embroidery, or other colors are possibilities. These would be given to all involved including PH's, Hunters, Photographer, etc. I'd appreciate any suggestions.

The hat idea is great. Those colors look good to me as I like darker colors on hats. You can also put your ideas into the private group chat on AH for the hunt. There will be some other nice swag added to those who join the hunt.

I'm itching to go. Whose brilliant idea was it to put this off a year...oh, maybe that was my fault. It's going to be a lot of fun.

AH Members, there's still spaces left for the AH DG Group Hunt for 2026!
Get in touch to secure you're spot!

Below, two recent trophies taken on Safari

I have no idea the shipping cost from here to Costa Rica. I can do my research on shipping and get back with you later today.

I didn't see your request re: ship co’s. My last shipment was 2023. Quotes from SBS Logistics ($1,198), Badger Cargo ($1,184 - used them) & AHG Trophy Shippers ($1,746). AHG owner's an asshole so wouldn't have used him anyway. Eastern Cape - Houston, TX, so your mileage may vary. NEVER use Karl Human Taxidermy aka Wild Africa Taxidermy on Eastern Cape. Trophies arrived shattered with no padding/packing material.
