Gunter Bierbaumer surprised me with an excellent bullet holder with a Cape buffalo emblazoned on the front and my name on the back. After I got my Cape buffalo, a couple of days before the trip ended, Gunter also provided me with a canvas photo with the bull, which is proudly displayed in my office at work. I found it very thoughtful and they are among my most treasured possessions. While not all guides/PHs do this, I have seen others who received some very nice and thoughtful gifts on hunts for various achievements (birthdays, completing a spiral horn slam, for making their first safari trip, etc). I'd love to see what others have received and hear your story about it.

Shirts, fleece vest, hats, common swag is pretty normal.

A birthday cake and the 21 camp staff singing and dancing was a fun birthday surprise in Tanzania :)

Last year Bossie of Limpopo Big Game Safaris gave us some very nice buffalo leather ammo holders (but not personalized) and gaiters.

I'd have to say that photo is really special. As is the personalized ammo carrier. Going to be hard to beat.... I'm looking forward to see what others have gotten;)

A reduced trophy fee (Africa), a reduced supplemental above baseline (Europe several times). a free stag (Argentina), a free black bear (BC), and two local axes (Mozambique).

No pics, but my 3x Canadian black bear outfitter gave me a tree branch.

Shoved underneath my rental vehicle.

So that I’d have to stop after a mile or so to figure out what the hell that noise was.

I do love that rat bastard!

I still have my Game4Africa shirt and the Camo cap I received on safari. Pretty good since I was only doing a cull hunt.
When I met up with late member bruce moulds in a small town I wore my game4africa shirt so I would stand out. Then we sat in a coffee shop comparing our Von Gruff knives.

The ammo holders are cool.
I got the regulation Safari shirt plus a really neat canvas photo collage of my animals. I had it framed and it looks really nice.

Plus you have the memory of hunting with a great outfit.

T-shirt, several animals shot for free! (each hunting trip)

This is good topic, must remain as sticky!

We already have a thread about tipping.
This one should be dedicated to PH's and outfitters treatment of clients, and to remain sticky! ;)

That's great! I imagine the birthday cake with your PH and camp staff is a day you won't forget!

WOW! That is impressive and memorable! Sounds like you've been hitting jackpots!

I wasn't expecting that! Haha!

Thank you. I left that part out. Absolutely true. Gunter made it one of the most memorable events in my life.

Hello! I saw your post from last year about a missing crate from your hunt in Moz. I am curious how that all turned out? We (my fiancé and I) also hunted in Moz in 2024 and the trophies are being shipped with Hunters Services Limitada. We have some concerns on whether we will get the trophies home or not. May I ask who you hunted with?
