I hoping to find a current production Win M70 Safari Express in .375 H&H. Anyone know of any for sale anywhere or when they might come back in stock at any gun dealers?

I’m new here, have made six trips to Africa over the years with my Remington custom shop M700 Mountain rifle in 300 Wby. Always borrowed a rifle there for anything that required a heavier caliber. Figured I would finally buy one for the next trip in ‘26. Hopefully the rifle will come back in stock somewhere before then or someone wants to sell one.

Thanks

Not currently.

Saw two NIB examples on Gunbroker a couple weeks ago with BIN prices of $1,799 & $1,699. One lasted a couple hours, the other less than an hour.

So, I guess that they're out there.

Edit: My memory is bad. Both of those were .416 Rem.

I have a new haven CRF Super Express in excellent shape that I'd be willing to part with. 2nd owner, not shot much at all. It doesn't come out of my safe.

I have a .338 that I really like and use it for everything. I think I want a .458 instead, also for no good reason.

Eta: signed up just to post this. Let me know if you want pictures, etc. Also has some leupold QD scope mounts.

It took me awhile to track one down. What I did was placed an order with a local shop and also set up a notification with Midway. When I got the email Midway had them in stock, I ordered immediately. They sold out within a day if I recall. I then canceled my order with my local shop and used the down payment for a different rifle they had in stock.

Not a fan of new things so I’m useless to you in that regard, but search the forums and you’ll see REAL pre-64 model 70s in 375HH for roughly the same price. Why settle for a replica?

Thank you for going to the trouble of signing up just to post this. I think I will pass. Thank you!

Good luck!

I like supporting local business but this is one area where bass pro /cabelas shine. If they have the gun in stock anywhere in the country, they'll ship it free to your most local store. Might be worth the drive depending on where you are and how bad you want that exact rifle.

Thanks! We have a Bass Pro about an hour from here. I’ll go check it out.

Heck -- I own a fantastic shooter rifle in .375 H&H pre-64 that's up for sale here and would happily discuss excellent terms with you (or anyone, for that matter).

Thanks. I’m looking for a current production rifle. Not a replica, but different is the way I look at it. I have a couple of nice pre-64 Winchesters but I don’t shoot them either because the barrels are shot out or they are too nice to shoot. I am hard on my hunting rifles and just don’t want to stress about traveling with a pre-64, or riding around in the back of a truck with one, or putting in my saddle scabbard. Lots of things just go sideways and rifles get scarred. Plus I like the new one enough to want to hunt with it, but not to leave it in the safe and conserve it.

I have a 2012, South Carolina made Winchester m70 375 h&h that has served well. It is one of the post-restart baco rifles that as I understand is cnc machined. It is very precise so I’d believe it

I’ve picked up more medium bores over the last few years so this one has become a bit redundant and I’ve been thinking about letting it go. Im like you and Ive hunted with it so it has the expected “love” on the wood but is otherwise well taken care of. Pm if interested

I would not trust anyone that doesn't have several hundred post and post regularly.

Even then I have been mis-sold on multiple things I thought I was getting a good deal on. Product came through, but rarely as advertised.

If you can’t find a Win M70 SE, I can highly recommend a BRNO ZKK 602 in .375 H&H - even one that’s not been fully customized. Those were always great “working” CRF rifles out of the box, maybe except for that Euro “hog-back” stock.

Another alternative is a CZ 550 in that caliber, also CRF.

Thanks! There's even one going on sale right now. The fit and finish on 550's and zkk602 just seem to leave so much to be desired compared to the new m70. And there's so much fiddling I would need to do on a 550/602 (three posi safety, cut barrel to 22, barrel band, bedding... ~$2-3k) compared to a m70 (drop belly triggerguard, new stock to fit the guard, low profile talley mounts... ~$1000). But the 550/602 would give me integral scope mounts and iron sites, true magnum length action, and drop belly at the start.

Definitely got a bit of decision paralysis.

Had an excellent classifieds transaction with JoninCO. A truly honest and standup member. I wouldn't hesitate at all to deal with him again. Thanks, J!

Hi Lance, Hope you well. I collect Mauser rifles and they are very much part of my cultural history in Africa. Would you consider selling the rifle now a year on ? I'd like to place it in my collection of Mauser rifles. Many thx

I saw where you hunted elephant with backcountry safaris in Zimbabwe.
Was looking to book an elephant hunt and wanted to know how your hunt went
and if you would recommend them.

Thanks
Mike
hi, do you know about lions hunters, leopard hunters, and crocodiles hunters of years 1930s-1950s
I'm new to Africa Hunting. I would like to purchase a Heym 450-400 double rifle. I'm left-handed but would prefer a non-canted gun. Is anyone in the community considering parting with theirs?
