I like that the watch looks to be worn on a regular basis. Very cool piece
I do wear it regularly @Tango… It’s a great every day watch wear. I mostly wear my Omega Planet Ocean but when I don’t the Panerai is worn

Having complications like, day, date, month, GMT, chronograph…etc on a watch can be a wonderful thing if well executed and at a high degree of precision.

I also appreciate the simplicity and symmetry of a quality three hand timepiece without a date window.

I currently have a Speedmaster, Planet Ocean Seamaster (with date) and Railmaster (three hands). Love them all in different ways and for different reasons/purposes.

Xxx

You obviously sir are not a fan of complications or fine things!
I have a Rolex GMT Master 2 as you know, but honestly I would easily be without the fancy bits and have a purely plain Rolex. I just don't like the look of the datejust types. I'll keep looking.

I think you might like mine? I gave this DateJust to my father for a retirement/Christmas present on Christmas Day 2003…
It is an anniversary edition (rare) stainless with a white gold bezel and the anniversary dial that is rarely seen…

Sadly my father passed away a year and a half ago and it came back to me. I have now gifted it to my older brother who wears it with both pride and family legacy!

I am in Johannesburg again and leave my Rolex in harare for my safety, and it's. I thought of getting a plastic thing because I often need the time, but I can't bring my self to do that. Snobbery? No, just appreciation.

That is a handsome watch. Diameter?

If you want a simple face dial, but stay with rolex, why not an Explorer? Especially with the black face, if one is not a watch aficionado, they are not too recognizable.

(not my watch)

I didn't see your request re: ship co’s. My last shipment was 2023. Quotes from SBS Logistics ($1,198), Badger Cargo ($1,184 - used them) & AHG Trophy Shippers ($1,746). AHG owner's an asshole so wouldn't have used him anyway. Eastern Cape - Houston, TX, so your mileage may vary. NEVER use Karl Human Taxidermy aka Wild Africa Taxidermy on Eastern Cape. Trophies arrived shattered with no padding/packing material.
