Hi,
I have just booked my first Safari in Zim for the second week in October. I will be going after Plains Game and I was wondering does anyone have any experience with the weather in October?
Thanks-Rob

I was in the Omay last October. the temperature was probably 105-108 during the day. It would cool off at night. For the most part had no problem sleeping and during the day while hot not miserable as the humidity was low. Keep in mind I am from South Louisiana.

I also traveled to Bulawayo and Harare where the weather was perfect, Lower 60s at night at 80s at night.

Wow, that sounds hot no matter where your from! I will be south of Bulawayo. I wonder if the southern part of the country would at least be one degree cooler? lol
Mike, was that on two different safari's you were refering to? Seems like a big contrast in temperature.

I was in southeast Zim near Moz for three weeks Oct -08. Hot hot hot, +40 celsius. Good hunting with game more concentrated.

Leaving 21 Sep for three weeks this year.

I flew in to Bulawayo and spent the night, hunted the Omay, chartered to Harare and visited high school friend there for a couple of says before returning home. Very nice trip. Temperature can vary greatly in different parts of the country.

Are you hunting with Zambezi again? I am completing my hunt with Mokore on the Sept. 22nd and spending a couple of days in Harare.

I leave for Zim on Oct. 7th.
Planning on it being hot and, at the same time, HOPING for moderately nice weather!

Hi Dr. Ray, I will be in Cooktown from Oct 16 to Oct 23 fishing Lizard Island Black Marlin Tournament.

I have several "slack" days after fishing before I head for stay in Sydney and Fiji.

Do you have any recommendations for 1 or 2 day hunt near Cooktown?

I've hunted both DG and PG in 4 different countries in Africa.
Thank you,
Bob

Good morning. I see that you had a Sauer 202 for sale for $3,000. Did you sell it at that price?
I have one for sale as well. I listed it (on here ) at $3,000 as well. Is the price high, low or right where it should be?

Thanks. Alex. [redacted] in case you want to call me to discuss further. I appreciate your time help and support.
