Does anyone know for sure if the 450 Dakota can be easily rechambered to 450 Rigby without having to set the barrel back? I know that they are real close in dimensions. Looks like case head on the Rigby is a tad bigger so I'm assuming that the bolt face will need opened. The lack of factory ammo (and proper headstamp) for the Dakota has me looking at options. Thanks for any help.

I'd call Ward at Parkwest Arms and ask him. They'd know whether this is possible.

The Dakota has a shoulder angle of 26 degrees while the Rigby has a 30 degree shoulder. So rechambering should be possible.

Just moving to DM. Yes, please ask your friend if he knows somebody who might be willing to support a persistent hunt in the snow.

Hi Paul,
This is Daniel from Mankazana Safaris.

I saw your post regarding a hunt in Africa. I am sure you have been bombarded with messages and replies from other outfitters, so I will keep this one quick.
