Not to “pontificate” but I’ve just copy pasted the ad I planned to upload to gunbroker…thought I’d offer it here first.
This was my idea of a “sheep” rifle and she is a shooter, I hate to let go of, but….
$2900+ shipping to your ffl

Ts Customs 6.5 x 284 Lapua

This is the designation for Travis’ “long throated” 6.5x284 Norma
If you’re not familiar with TS customs, you’ll quickly find travis and his team build some of the most accurate rifles around. He has been excellent to deal with and I am nearing a dozen builds, all of them have turned out fantastic!

The rifle has shot a 20rd break in and the accuracy at the end shows (refer to pics)
The rifle shoots better than I can and you’ll notice that it shoots factory Nosler and Norma ammo almost to the same POI. The final group excluding the fouler measure
.450” with the Nosler match
.600” with the Norma

Weight on the rifle without a scope and with the rings comes in right at 7lb 9oz
Lone Peak Razor SS action
-Made in Utah to amazing standards. They are a real value as far as actions go.
-Action has been full length bedded with a free float barrel
Benchmark SS 5g Barrel
-Finished at 25.5”
-Straight fluted oem
-1:8” twist to handle those long 6.5mm bullets
-Finished with a target crown
Manners EH6 Stock
-carbon fiber/kevlar finish with their Elite lightweight fill
-13.5” LOP
-Single sling stud up front
-qd swivel in the rear this to facilitate the stock riding a rear bag, when shooting, without the stud causing deviation
Hawkins Machine
-Hinged BDL style floor plate
-one piece 30mm rings
Wyatts extended mag box with rem spring and follower
Trigger Tech trigger
-external positive click adjustment down to 2.5lb

I can vouch for Travis’ work, absolutely stellar.

All quality parts, IMHO, a great deal at that price.

Agreed. Basically the cost of one of his barreled actions fitted with trigger and mounts. So you’re getting the stock for free.

Yup priced to sell. I know it’s not the typical “African“ rifle, lacking the bluing and walnut, but it would definitely do the job For foul weather plains game. A great rifle for north america and inclement weather. I’d love for someone to smoke a full curl ram with it! ;0

I didn't see your request re: ship co’s. My last shipment was 2023. Quotes from SBS Logistics ($1,198), Badger Cargo ($1,184 - used them) & AHG Trophy Shippers ($1,746). AHG owner's an asshole so wouldn't have used him anyway. Eastern Cape - Houston, TX, so your mileage may vary. NEVER use Karl Human Taxidermy aka Wild Africa Taxidermy on Eastern Cape. Trophies arrived shattered with no padding/packing material.
