Is anyone loading the 180 grain Peregrine Bushmasters in 30-06?

If so how are you liking them? I have some I want to load up and shoot in my 30-06.

What is the availability of Peregrines now?

Out of stock at the moment. I bought a few boxes just before they ran out luckily.

In the US? Poor.
The website is pretty bare and has been a while. So I recently sent a text to the retailer here about a timeframe to restock 300 grain 375 Bushmasters and 130 grain 7mm Plainsmasters. He didn't even give me a time frame of when they might arrive, just mentioned some 186 grain Very Long Range 30 cal. That's not good.

I have 165s Peregrines in my 300 Win Mag and they shoot well, a hair under MOA. Those are still in stock so I'll either stock up now for the long haul or move back to Barnes.

I love the Peregrines and use them in my 7mag and .375 H&H, would love to try their new bullets for lever guns, but there is some kind of issue with the US distributor. I don't know if it is an import issue or something specifically with them, but they are not able to get new bullets in at this time. I contacted Peregrine directly about ordering from South Africa, which they were willing to do, but the shipping cost was more than the bullets.

Peregrine is still out of stock for most here in the states.

I'm guessing nobody is loading the 180's in 30-06?

In SA, I have never had a problem with availability in my calibres. I use Peregrines exclusively now and am happy with them
I ordered direct from them once before they made it in to the US market. They make a great bullet.

The VRG 2 is the flat nose copper solid (mentioned in your heading) i am assuming you are using the expanding copper bullet in your 30-06? The VRG 3 i believe. I have always found the SA guys to be very helpful and i believe they have their own equipment.

I did as well and it was a breeze then. Wouldn't be an issue now either if it wasn't for the excessive shipping fees- nothing Peregrine can do about.

Good catch! I guess I fat fingered the heading. I am indeed asking about the VRG3 Bushmaster. Load data would be the same across the two.

I just saw Budsgunshop.com has both the guide gun and the African for $1150. FWIW - I bought both and decided to use the Guide gun - I restocked it in a Bell and Carlson stock and I added the Alaska arms floor plate to add a round. I wanted the shorter barrel as I will use a suppressor. I wont go lower than $1100, but I will ship it and no sales tax.

Let me know if you are interested
