Dallas Safari Club Convention 2016 - Where will you be?

And I'll be working here in the DRC preparing for BOARD meetings... wishing that I was rather out on the Blue Water with Marius or at least in the bush hunting with anybody!!!!

Awww....

I thought you were going to be there for a second!!!!

Enjoy the fishing!

Royal,
I'm like a Snow Leopard. There have been many reports about my existence, but there are still many doubters.

I'll make an appearance sometime.

I know everybody is looking forward to coming to DSC Convention and we are getting ready for you. This is DSC headquarters and we are packing the sponsor bags. I believe we did 4000 bags today I know i personally did 10 bags.:E Celebrate:
However, I brought PB and that girl can stuff bags. There were also people there that have been doing this for 20 years.

Hat's off to you and all of the volunteers that make the DSC Convention a success every year! It's an unbelievable amount of work to pull off as well as you guys do. Our HSC Convention is a lot smaller but still a lot of work. All worth it though!

I have attended the DSC Convention off and on for a decade. However, the last two years I have become involved in set up preparation and that is a lot of fun. Yesterday was a come and go stuff and bag party. Each table was full of brochures to be put in the bag and the air was full of stories of past and present hunts and adventures at the convention.

My favorite moment from last years convention was on Wednesday the day before the convention opened. I was working on MIMO committee (Move In Move Out). An outfitter from Montana had just driven his truck into the convention hall and I came up with a cart to help him unload. He looked at me and asked what I was doing. I told him I was going to help get his stuff to his booth. I thought he was going to kiss me. He had been driving for over 24 hours in some very brutal weather and had just pulled into the convention hall a couple hours before it closed. I wish I had a picture of the look of relief that was on his face because it would be hanging in my trophy room as a highly treasured moment. Buff I am sure you can tell many more stories like that.(y)

Don't you just love the hunting community.(y)

Most big conventions you have to pay a union member to carry your stuff to your booth. Then wait for a union electrician to plug in any electrical cords you might have.:(

And stories that I have sworn NOT to tell!!!....."What happens in Houston, stays in Houston!"

Bob,

I will be at the convention on Saturday and Sunday. My group is hunting with Huntershill in August. I will stop by and visit for a while.

Definitely Saturday. Friday if we can get some bookkeeping finished tomorrow.

Was at DSC today, met with Robert & Rosella, to arrange my memories of the RSA, back home.

I'm unfortunately on a diet. Presently in VA hospital as Agent Orange finally caught up with me. Cancer and I no longer can speak. If all goes well I'll be out of here and back home in Thailand by end of July. Tough road but I'm a tough old guy. I'll make it that hunt.

Business is the only way to fly. I'm headed to SA August 25. I'm hoping that business isn't an arm and a leg. If you don't mind, what airline and the cost for your trip. Mine will be convoluted. I'll be flying into the states to pick up my 416 Rigby as Thailand doesn't allow firearms (pay no attention to the daily shootings and killings) so I'll have 2 very long trips.
