When Your Wife Is Also Your Hunting Buddy

@andrevanzyl
As @Action Bob has learnt since marrying @Just Gina what's hers is hers and what's yours is hers.
This is the joy of marriage.
Look on the bright side at least you know what the wife is up to while your away hunting because she is with you.
Take your choice, a life long hunting buddy and wife or wife and a shite load of new shoes and dresses she will never wear.
I'll take wife as hunting buddy any day.
Bob

I am blessed to hunt with my best friend and wife. I wouldn't have it any other way!

That’s a glorious picture! You must be very proud of her !
I am immensely proud of both my children, Vertigo. During their childhood (the 1980s), I was posted as the Divisional Forest Officer of the Sundarban mangrove forests for 2 terms (9 years) and I only got to see them on Fridays & Saturdays (or paid vacations). My posting prohibited me from spending as much time with them as I would have liked to. It was my parents who so lovingly looked after them during the week days. Being a single father (who had sole legal custody over both his children) while also working a government job, was quite challenging at times. I tried my very best to give them the most colorful childhood which I could provide them, although I wasn't always the most successful in this regard

Despite this, they both grew up loving me immensely and grew up to become excellent successful human beings (and hunters). My daughter is the head of the Business Department of a very prestigious public university here.

I consider my children (and now grandchildren) to be my best friends.

I aspire to have the same quality relationship with my daughter as well. Hopefully in about 15 years time, I'll be able to take her hunting and she can outshoot me.

WIFEY AND I CAME TO TERMS 30+ YEARS AGO. I DON'T GO TO THE MALL WITH HER AND SHE DOESNT GO TO THE FIELD WITH ME. WORKS FOR BOTH. SHE DOES COME ALONG IF A LODGE IS INVOLVED THOUGH.

I'm unfortunately on a diet. Presently in VA hospital as Agent Orange finally caught up with me. Cancer and I no longer can speak. If all goes well I'll be out of here and back home in Thailand by end of July. Tough road but I'm a tough old guy. I'll make it that hunt.

Nice one there. I guided for mulies and elk for about 10 or so years in northern New Mexico.

Business is the only way to fly. I'm headed to SA August 25. I'm hoping that business isn't an arm and a leg. If you don't mind, what airline and the cost for your trip. Mine will be convoluted. I'll be flying into the states to pick up my 416 Rigby as Thailand doesn't allow firearms (pay no attention to the daily shootings and killings) so I'll have 2 very long trips.
