Good day members. I am in need of a 6.5x68S reamer. If a member have one that he used for a rifle build I really would like to buy it from you .

Hoofnit, thank you kindly. I am living in South Africa ,

What's the legality of sending a reamer from the US?
Just looked up the code, there is currently no restrictions on chamber reamers exporting from the US. Best bet is to see if an American company like PTG is willing to ship internationally. As long as they don’t falsely claim it’s a gun part or accessory (because it’s not, it’s a glorified drill bit, I believe the proper export term is something like “engineering reamer” or something like that) then customs has no jurisdiction with current laws.

I wouldn’t rent the reamer from another country though, rentals are usually by the day or week, and if it gets stuck in customs it could get more expensive than just owning the reamer.

Edit to add: this is just for US export, OP would need to look up the laws for South Africa to make sure they’re legal to import.

I have been getting reamers from PTG (Pacific Tool & Gauge) shipped to Australia no problems. Generally tooling is much easier to import than gun parts.
PTG are generally 2/3 the cost of other suppliers for a custom reamer, but probably take 2X the leadtime to deliver. Quality is very good.
Not sure if Brownells or Clymer would have 6.5X68S on the shelf.

Members I received all the .338 Imperial Magnum re-loading components, 200x brass cases head stamped, 404 Jeffery brass with forming dies , re-loading dies, reamer, go/no go gauges from AZDAVE a member here on our forum without any difficulties he experienced non hold ups/problems coming from the USA to South Africa .

Im pretty sure I have one. I used it for one chamber. Send me a PM to remind me to look.
rickiesrevenger, thank you kindly , I really would be grateful if I can purchase the reamer from you. I want to build this caliber as well..I have re-loading dies, 100 x RWS brass cases given to me by my good friend and member HWL here on our forum. Young South African farmers are farming through the H2A visa system in the USA..they will be bringing the reamer to SA.

I just saw Budsgunshop.com has both the guide gun and the African for $1150. FWIW - I bought both and decided to use the Guide gun - I restocked it in a Bell and Carlson stock and I added the Alaska arms floor plate to add a round. I wanted the shorter barrel as I will use a suppressor. I wont go lower than $1100, but I will ship it and no sales tax.

Let me know if you are interested
