Want To Buy 300 Sherwood

I have a Westley Richards Sherwood in 300 Sherwood and am looking for brass, dies, ammo. The 300 Sherwood is also known as the 300 Extra Long.

Sorry don’t have any ammunition or components to sell but like the .300 Sherwood & Westley Richards, pity it is a true .300 & not a normal.30cal .

You really should show photos, what rifle do you have, break action Rook type, Martini or ?

The Sherwood is a takedown action martini rifle by Westley Richards. I think it was designed for roe deer hunting. It is more powerful than the typical rook & rabbit rifles. I will post a picture later.

Here are two pictures of my Sherwood. Buck Stix was kind enough to share some of his brass with me so I just need somre reloading dies. I am checking with CH4D but if anyone has a set, let me know.

I'm also looking for some dies and brass, will let you know if I can get any information.
I did found a post where someone sold his .300 Sherwood in 2024 with a Lee die set.
Maybe when no luck, Lee will be the place to get in touch with.

After posting, I found all the reloading supplies. CH has dies, Northern Shooter's Supply (Australia) has brass, Lee Custom can provide a swage to swage cast 3/20 bullets to 0.301".

I don't think you can buy the brass direct from Australia. RCBS once made a .301 bullet mold.

I also thought I could not buy brass from Australia but a friend told me he had bought brass from Northern Shooters Supply. I checked with NSS and they confirmed they could sell to people in the US.

NSS's website lists prices. What is added at checkout is shipping costs. Of course, it is higher than buying in the states but it seemed reasonable to me.

I'm from South Africa and the options are way more less. But lucky enough, I found a guy who imported brass from Australia and he had 40 cases left.

Now for the reloading dies.
I will see how to get them to SA.

Make sure you anneal the case full length. I have lost too many cases with splits mid=length.

Hopefully Roger Mowbray (NSS) can ship reloading dies to you.
