Has anyone traveled to SA with their minor children and not the other parent? Seems crazy to have to get a court order?! The rest is no problem, but I’m not sure where to start for a court order saying I have parental rights. My wife and I are happily married, so the birth certificate and the signed affidavit are easy enough.

Anyone that’s done a safari with their kids and not the other parent, I’d appreciate your input.

I did safari with my son, 14 then, in Namibia.
In order to get Nabian visa, I had to provide birth certificate of my son, and statement from my wife, verfied by notary public, that she agrees my son to travel with me.
The rest were smooth.

I traveled with my 12 year old son in 2018. I had his birth certificate (original), An affidavit from my wife (his mother), and his passport. I did NOT have a court order granting custodial rights as my wife and I are married and together. I had no issue traveling into SA and then into Namibia.
