Have any of you guys seen any evidence of airline storage fees on your crates coming down?

This time last year I know Delta, Turkish, and others were charging $150 per day at DFW... and people were complaining that they had crates sitting in storage for anywhere from a few days to a few weeks waiting on the USG to release the crate for pick up..

I just had a crate come in from New Zealand.. thankfully Coppersmith has their own bonded warehouse in DFW and they typically grab the crate within 24 hours of it arriving, which typically results in only 1 day of storage fees from the airlines (been my experience with the last 2 crates from Africa).. this time the crate got held up at the airline for 1 day as well.. but the storage fees were only $64...

Wondering if this is an anomaly? or if fees are coming back down to a reasonable amount again? I should have yet another Africa crate getting shipped within the next few months..

Let's hope that is the case. I'm at least a year out from getting my stuff from the Eastern Cape, and hope the fees go down even more. (y)

Im hoping so as well.. this crate from New Zealand has taken forever to get through the US Govt processes (still not released, and it originally landed in San Francisco almost a month ago).. and I should have another one shipping to DFW from South Africa within the next month or two..

Im definitely thankful that Coppersmith has its own bonded warehouse here.. that limits the exposure to the airline storage BS...

If daily fees have indeed come down from the peak I saw of $150 a day.. that would make things that much better..
