Just completed a 5 Day Cull hunt with @TSALA HUNTING SAFARIS. I booked the 5 blue wildebeest and 5 impala cull hunt offered here on AH. Typically, I do not return and hunt the same place but Rouan, Brandon and Jo do such a wonderful job I knew I had to go back. I last hunted with Tsala last May and I posted a full review of that hunt here on AH.
All aspects of my hunt were fantastic. Meals, accommodations, quality of hunting vehicle were first class. I again hunted with Brandon, he is as entertaining as he is a very nice person.
I do wish to mention that Tsala Safaris is willing to do more than just go hunting. Brandon, knowing how much I enjoy seeing elephants and rhinos, sorted out a day trip to Marakele National Park. This was such a wonderful experience, I am grateful Brandon took the time to do this for me.
Another thing I’d like to point out is this, if anyone is interested in hunting huge kudu, sable and Buffalo, this is the place to go! And believe me, Buffalo hunting at Tsala is as fair chase as any place you could ever go in South Africa. After I finished out my cull package, Brandon and I hunted two days walking up and down some seriously steep terrain in search of a monster kudu. As luck would have it, Brandon spotted a very nice old kudu bull on an opposing hillside and I was able to take this kudu at 250 yards with one shot.
Their herds are all self sustaining, some of the sable and Buffalo are pushing the 50” mark pretty darn hard!
A special ‘Thank You’ to Jo, Brandon’s wife, for cooking some of the most delicious meals I’ve ever had!
I have a number of other safaris booked but I do plan to return at a future date to hunt with this outfit. I think their slogan goes something like this, ‘come as a client, return as a friend!’ You’ll not find better people anywhere!
