SOUTH AFRICA: Back From First Safari

You had a great hunt, especially scoring a bushpig first off in daytime.
I wouldn't worry about the political/land situation. There are plenty of venues so far out in the boondocks on farms nobody would want them. Besides that, with the exception of a couple of farms being nationalized, most of it just pre-election noise.

Edit: Next trip, SMILE for the camera!

Just a little fyi. Many years ago while stationed in Alaska I developed numbness on the left side of my face below my eye through my jaw hence the what you guys call lack of a smile. I hear it a lot but I just ignore it 99.9% 0f the time. Trust me I was excited and definitely smiling on the inside even if it didn't show on the outside.

I can agree with that. I was there like 2 weeks ago and if not for the news, would of had no idea anything was going on.

My PH and his family are extremely concerned with the current actions of the government. They are 5 generations on their land so I would think they would know when to be concerned or not. I hope it doesn't happen!!

Congrats on your hunt!

You´re a lucky man, a bushpig on the first day.

Are you sure it's not Bell's Palsy? Just saying, may not want to ignore that.

Great first day. That would be a great 3 days! Congrats.

Nice to see someone have such good luck on a hunt.

Here's a photo of Tony receiving that Shaw & Hunter award at the 1970 annual EAPHA Dinner Dance. Tony Dyer, then EAPHA President and Princess (Sunny) von Auersperg presented it. I also attended the event.
