Went to a fantastic presentation last night at Griffin & Howe at Hudson Farm on hunting buffalo in Sango with the G&H new best rifle, the Criterion in 404J. Guest speaker was Phillip Massaro who was on the safari with G&H gunmakers. Besides now coveting a Criterion, would love to go to Sango. Has anyone been?

What outfitter holds the concession? Did they say?

Hudson Farm is absolutely amazing!! Wish I lived I closer so I could have attended!

I asked the easiest way to look it up online and was told just google Sango, but that does not indicate the outfitter. His brother works for G&H in the gunsmithing shop and was one of the presenters. I'll have to reach out again to G&H to find out. One of the hunters present for the dinner asked whetherG&H might consider hosting a trip to Sango and that sounded like it might be a possibility.

Yes, I try to attend their "after hours" events, have them work on my English doubles, and will take some shooting lessons there, just because I like Hudson Farm.

It’s a privately owned area. I think multiple outfitters buy quota. You might enjoy listening to this about Sango from the owner. I thought it was really good.

Trying to get this to play. Te website for Origins Foundation looks interesting.

Thanks I listen to most of their podcast but loser that one. I was traveling to get married so have an excuse.

Congrats on the wedding. Best wishes to you. I've got the podcast playing now and will subscribe.

If we’re talking about Sango Ranch in the Save Conservancy, it is a beautiful area. I’ve hunted other ranches in the Save, but not Sango. Duke at Gulf Breeze Firearms has hunted it a number of times if you want to talk to someone with a lot of experience on the ground.

A buddy and I hunted there last year. We both took buffs but saw very little plains game. Camp was nice, food good. Similar to the BVC, tremendous buff hunting with little plains game

Very strange, we saw a lot of PG on the Save, it’s been a few years though.

Apparently lions are having a really bad impact on plains game in Save. It’s only for PHs not for sale, but some lioness quota has been issued again on some ranches.

I am heading to the BVC in a couple of weeks for a double buff hunt. I know the buff hunting will be tremendous but the plains game availability is bad, you can not even get quota. The management will not allow it but in my other 2 trips I saw very little besides zebra and impala, oh and a huge number of giraffes

Sango is a fantastic area. Plenty of plainsgame and the big 5. It is a huge area with a variety of habitats. Friends of mine used to run the hunting camp and another friend is managing the property. It is in a dry area and game numbers are not like BVC or Nuanestsi. You have to work hard but plenty of game Probably one of the best areas in the world for old school DG hunting. They were looking for a single outfitter to run the area but I believe they just sell hunts to various PHs.

See you are from Denmark - see quite a few Danes where I stalk in Scotland - great hunters.
The Harkilia stuff works well in Africa - I have a bit for use here in UK.
I am again looking for 600 Nitro dies preferably RCBS 1 inch. The set I purchased previously are 1 1/2 inch and do not fit my die. Another member has graciously taken them off my hands. If anyone happens to have a set of 600 Nitro Dies that will fit my Rockchucker Supreme RCBS press, please shoot me a message and thanks in advance for any assistance you may have to offer!
