So, as it turns out my friend cannot manage the recoil, either. He hasn’t a bum, post-operative shoulder as I do, he simply doesn’t like the recoil (he always dreamt of a true elephant rifle but up until now the most powerful rifle he has ever owned (and maybe even shot) has been a .270 Winchester…quite a leap up to the big .458!).

Anyway, my friend asked if I would be willing to buy the rifle back and I told him I would. So, here she is in all her Circassian walnut glory. The asking is $1,850 (firm) and includes the following:

· Ruger RSM .458 Lott

· 1 box (20 rounds) of Federal Trophy Bonded Sledgehammer Solid ammunition

· 1 box (20 rounds) of Federal Fusion soft point ammunition

· Hornady 3-die set

· Lee Factory Crimp Die

· Innovative Technologies Belted Magnum Collet Resizing Die

· Delivery to your local FFL transfer agent

If interested please send a PM. Thank you.

No way I could have jumped straight to a Lott either!

The first time I shot my .375 I thought the recoil on it was heavy, but got used to it and then moved it. Your friend sounds like he needs to do the same.

Beautiful rifle and RSM is great. If only they made a left hand model! :)

Very nice rifle at a great price especially with several hundred dollars in goodies thrown in!
Good luck selling her!
Cheers,
Cody

Made it to Augusta Georgia yesterday for a meeting, hunt bookings are looking good for 2026 and 2027, had a great time on our Alabama safari shot a rutting deer at 200 yards with 7mm PRC near Huntsville and then headed on to Butler Alabama and semi guided my first deer ever shot a very nice broken off 8 point with hunter there and spend a few days on 1100 acres hunting preserve awesome place!

I am righthanded, so not interested in the rifle, but I have a 375 RUM and 350 gr bullet loading data is very hard to come by. If you could reply with information regarding your loads I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you, Ray Boone, Leavenworth, WA

Hello - I was looking at your post from several years ago regarding the Winchester 300 H&H. Any chance you still have the lefty M70 300 H&H for sale?
Thank you, Mike

An excellent AH member right here! I had a fantastic transaction with Hornedfrogbbq (I was the seller). His communication was first rate, payment was extremely fast, and I would have absolutely no reservations at all dealing with him again. Thank you, F!
