I bought one last year that had a very nicely done radial brake installed that is threaded below the front barrel band. 500gr bullets fell like a 45/70. you can also add weight between the butt pad and the bolt that some people fill up and cap. But for your effort the brake is much more effective. The gun is already at 10lb without optic.

I’m interested and wondering how a guy could add a few pounds to reduce the felt recoil.
Also, has anyone installed a red dot or RMR on a Ruger one with success
I would add as much lead to that forearm as it would hold, then start on the adding weight to the buttstock

My Brother has a no1 in 375 H&H with a radial brake. i cant remember offhand but i think they took the front sight off to attach the brake. either way he got a great deal on it because of the brake i believe, it was <$900. it recoils about as much as my 7mm-08 and a good bit less than our 45-70's. i think a removable brake would be the way to go. use it for range and practice then take it off for hunting.

Yes, I have 4 boxes listed on here and have 2 more boxes (1 has 19 rounds) I was going to list later.

If you add weight to your rifle (ANY rifle!) make sure you keep the balance point as close as possible to the front of the action; this, with good stock fit are essential for a hunting rifle.

I realize how hard the bug has bit. I’m on the cusp of safari #2 and I’m looking to plan #3 with my 11 year old a year from now while looking at my work schedule for overtime and computing the math of how many shifts are needed….

I'd like to get some too.

My wife (a biologist, like me) had to have a melanoma removed from her arm last fall.

Hallo Marius- do you have possibilities for stags in September during the roar? Where are your hunting areas in Romania?

I'm about ready to pull the trigger on another rifle but would love to see your rifle first, any way you could forward a pic or two?
Thanks,
