RSA and Zimbabwe weapons laws

Guys Im headed to RSA and Zim in a few months, for some hunting; but also touristy stuff. Obviously once the hunting is done, the rifles will be secured at the Guest House, so Im wondering what I can "carry" when Im a tourist?

Can I carry a knife? What blade length? Fixed blade, Folder, Lock blade, Spring assisted opening, Automatic? Can it be concealed in a pocket? Belt clip exposed?

Im guessing a cane or a walking stick is OK? Any limitations?

Can I have a bunch coins in a leather pouch in my pocket? OR will somebody call that a truncheon?

you should ask your outfitter, but i carried a 7.5 inch folder everywhere and no one seemed to mind. They were much more concerned with trying to give us traffic tickets at the 100+ road blocks that we went through. From what I saw no one cared unless you tried to do something stupid.

when we went to zim in 2011 we were stopped twice,i had no seat belt on the way to the hunting area and that cost me 5.00. on the way back we were stopped again for not stopping at a 4 way stop,however we did stop at that 4 way while our ph pointed out several homes that had never been finished being built,sat there long enough for grass to grow,that cost him 10.00.in the bush everything great,in town garbage.

Yes ask the PH or Outfitter based on where you will be. Lots of issues in Zim right now so be aware of your surroundings. Perhaps a tour guide would be helpful to you after the hunt.
