Hate to let this one go but not moving forward with the project I got it for and want to see somebody enjoy it. Blank was ordered from Roger in January of 23 and shipped from Australia. His wood is used by a lot of fine gun makers and pictures don’t do this justice. I tried to get pictures in the sunlight to show the figure the best I could. Roger classifies this as Heavy Exhibition grade and the blank is 34 3/8” long x 6.5” at tallest point x 2.5” wide. Should make somebody a beautiful stock. Looking to get out what I paid for it at $1375 including shipping to lower 48.

@JMJ888
Rodger definitely does some beautiful wood.
He caters to most tastes from plane Jane to some truly magnificent pieces.

I was thinking it was an Australian you were referring too.

Don’t know him myself but it’s good to know his reputation is well known.

Good luck with the sale

He really does...have seen some rifles from Matt Roberts and Duane Wiebe done with his wood and they are stunning.
@JMJ888
Luxus walnut in the USA does some stunning walnut as well. They provide walnut to Hymen, Blaster and some other high end makers.
I have a nice but on my 1885 lowall

I am familiar with Luxus…have used three of their blanks on rifles and they all turned out wonderful
@JMJ888
And that's why nice walnut ain't cheap.
When I got my pieces of Luxus the piece I chose was warped and couldn't get a but and forend out of it. Fortunately he is a lowall fanatic and chose a blank that he thought looked good.
He must have been feeling generous that day as he only charged me the price I was going to pay for the semi nice piece. The blank he chose was well over the price of the of the one I chose.
12 years ago the blank he sent me was listed for a bit over $800 USD. Fortunately the Australian dollar was worth over $1.20 USD at the time so it cost me about a third of what I should have paid.

I have no idea the shipping cost from here to Costa Rica. I can do my research on shipping and get back with you later today.

I didn't see your request re: ship co’s. My last shipment was 2023. Quotes from SBS Logistics ($1,198), Badger Cargo ($1,184 - used them) & AHG Trophy Shippers ($1,746). AHG owner's an asshole so wouldn't have used him anyway. Eastern Cape - Houston, TX, so your mileage may vary. NEVER use Karl Human Taxidermy aka Wild Africa Taxidermy on Eastern Cape. Trophies arrived shattered with no padding/packing material.
