Possibles Pouch

Sam browne studs are the way to go. I have made a few of these pouches and like the studs.
Do you have pics on hand of those you made?

This is one for 10 303 Cartridges. I have another that I made around a plastic cartridge box insert for 12 Grendel-Max cartridges and others for the VarTarg that are box shaped that holds 30 or so loose cartridges.

Nice work Gary.

Nice, that could be a handy little possible s pouch. A thing soft leather to carry to little odd and ends. I like leather goods but they can be heavy.

One thing this would suit is a headlampand a couple of spare rounds or a spare magazine with rounds.(like a plastic Tikka 3 shot) . I used to walk up the creek of an afternoon when I worked in the bush. Often I was walking back on dusk and sometimes in the dark. I started taking a headlamp or small torch most times.

I for one have been known to carry extra ammo. As a hunter 3 in the mag and 2 in the pocket may be enough, but a few times I got a few pigs and may have had to pass one up on the way back if I did not have any other than in the mag.

A possible s pouch could include matches, paracord or any incidental thing a hunter needs. Some might even carry an asthma inhaler .

I think if you can get this possible s pouch light enough using a soft leather it is a great idea for short hunts. After that it's a daypack and that's not always necessary if you know your area and plan a short walk/stalk.

Uncle Mike´s has a nice nylon pouch.

Well definitely more elaborate than it needed to be but I like it.….I didn't like snaps or buttons directly on the pouch….I wanted to be able to get my finger behind the strap to squeeze the snap. Probably wouldn’t be an issue with something in it but empty…..

Yes, it's very light. It's also small enough to not get in the way and can still hold most of the items you mentioned.

Here's an older one I have made by the same guy. Its leather and canvas. I use this one often. It's large enough to also hold a pair of light leather or mechanix gloves.

Show me your Possibles Pouch…..yeah it’s a weird topic, and yeah I know about Els and Murray leather (both of whom do outstanding work) but I’ve decided to make my own suite of leather hunting gear…..2” hunting belt, rifle sling, ammo slide, possibles pouch, knife, flask(for celebration only of course)….etc.

The truth is, I’ll likely never even use it. I don’t love a bunch of stuff on my belt but do you like the idea of maybe something just large enough to carry some Chapstick and Band-Aids and my phone, those type of things.

I’ve Looked on the net quite a bit and haven’t seen “the one” so….let’s see what you’ve got.
I use kuiu or Sitka belt pouch. Leather is too heavy.

Who built your makers stamp? They did a pretty good job.
I did the design and then I had a guy that I’ve used several times for other leather projects do the stamp out of nylon.

i’ve been using the same one on my knife sheaths for about eight years and still makes a perfect stamp.

he offers a lifetime warranty if they ever fail to make a good imprint send it back to him and he will remake it.

I can get you his contact if you ever want it.

Who is he? He did a good job. Barry King out of Sheridan, WY over here generally does mine. I’m getting ready to change locations here in the next year. So I will need to order 4 new ones of different sizes. I don’t have any complaints about my King tools, but I’m always open to try something new, and that stamp looks like it did a pretty good job.

His name is Steve and i believe is in NY. Awesome customer service and has quite a few examples on his page. Believe he can do up to 3 inch stamps. He sells all his stamps through his shop on Etsy….. https://www.etsy.com/shop/CustomMadeStuff

This stamp was mostly just for fun….I make and sell quite a few knives every year and love to play with leather. I love to learn new skills….I taught myself to make knives and now trying to teach myself leather craft. I’ve got a long way to go….can’t even keep my basket weave straight. LOL

Where you moving to?

I have no idea the shipping cost from here to Costa Rica. I can do my research on shipping and get back with you later today.
