I picked up someone’s .505 Gibbs project it had lots of parts but little work done. There were 3 p14/m17 receivers and parts to round them out. I matched them up by parts Remington with Remington, Winchester with Winchester and ERA with ERA. They have the ears cut and polished but that’s about the extent of the work.

I have been sitting on these for a few years and I need to wrap up unfinished projects. One I would like in .500 s&w mag as a brush gun for east coast US woods hunting. I have a barrel blank from green mountain. I turned it and started the threading process only to find out the half nuts in my lathe are shot and I can’t do it accurately.

I want to send the work to a competent gun smith familiar with the p14 who doesn’t have a year lead time. The local guys in eastern NC want to work on glocks and duracoat.

Any recommendations? Bonus points if they are within 100 miles of Raleigh

I would like someone I can continue to work with because the other 2 will be a .416 Rigby and 9.3x62.

Jerome, do you think my last post in rough camping must maybe shift as an article?

Good afternoon,

I'm trying to get in contact with Mr Butch Searcy. I have the opportunity to buy one of his rifles chambered in 577 nitro Express however the seller does not have any of the paperwork with the information about what ammunition or bullet weight was used to regulate it. I know he is not making firearms anymore but I wanted to reach out after seeing one of your post about him.

Hi - the only (best) method of sending you the .375/06IMP data is with photographing my book notes. My camera died so the only way I can do it is with my phone. To do that, I would need your e-mail address, as this
new Android phone is too complicated to upload to my desk computer, which would be easier and to down-grade, reduce the file sizes.
Best wishes
Daryl
