North America's Do-It-All Workhorse - An Ode To The 12 Gauge!

Oh please, this person is so obviously a troll. Someone joins a forum entirely devoted to hunting in Africa, using the photo of an attractive young lady as a profile picture, and demeans the entire continent based on supposed experiences at a handful of port cities. They then claim to earnestly believe that .303 British ball ammo (appreciably smaller than the .30-06, which is itself appreciably smaller than the minimum legal cartridge for lions in most countries, and for which I'm pretty sure you wouldn't be using military FMJ rounds) would "literally cause lions to do back flips if they were hit at full charge." Then they call the hyena a "spotted wannabe grey wolf."

This is not someone here in good faith.
This person strikes me as a PETA troll.

First post was pretty cool but the rest is a dumpster fire.
My first instinct was that this is an A.I . Post. You can ask it to write anything, and it will. Seems to be.

I spent a week in a dry lake bed in Djibouti shooting mortars and sweating. Does this mean I too am a dangerous game expert? I can put it in my profile as such.

I even own a 404 Jeffery, and stopped a charging feral hog with my recurve here in Texas if that helps.

Yep, sounds like you've got the creds to make that claim hahaha

Another one for the Ignored list !

Everything else aside, I have great respect for a 12 bore & slugs. I have one in elk camp at all times, you see our elk country is also grizzly country & we have people attacked by grizzlies every year! Some are not even hunting at the time!

Yip I use Brenneke slugs in my poormans double and combinations on a lot of things including wounded leopard follow up.
I know a retired gunsmith who in Zambia many moons ago shot a Cape Buffalo with a original Brenneke slug from his birdgun....1 shot sorted....

I just saw Budsgunshop.com has both the guide gun and the African for $1150. FWIW - I bought both and decided to use the Guide gun - I restocked it in a Bell and Carlson stock and I added the Alaska arms floor plate to add a round. I wanted the shorter barrel as I will use a suppressor. I wont go lower than $1100, but I will ship it and no sales tax.

Let me know if you are interested
