Go Navy beat Army!

Was happy to see this pop up again, I am trying to go back in 2027 and the wild assortment of wildlife at Hunters Hill has me more than interested.

Did you see any of the Asian deer species while you were out hunting? A big draw for them is that they have hog deer, Père David's deer, Sambar and Rusa deer.

What are you doing for taxidermy? At this point in my life I think I am happier with European mounts, and more hunting.

Did you use one of their rifles? How did that go?

Any thoughts now that has been a few months?

How did the flights and connections go?

US Navy 1993-2014.

I saw Rusa Deer, Axis, Fallow, Duiker, Hog Deer, Pierre David and Steenbock.
I did a dip and pack, and had everything sent to my home state of Texas.
I used one of their rifles, Suppressed .308 w/leupold scope. fired great. Too much hassle flying international and dealing with a weapon and ammo.
Since some time has passed as I think about my trip, I would not change a thing. I spent months putting my list together and I stuck to it.
Flights were good. Houston to Atlanta to Minneapolis Minn. to Amsterdam to CapeTown SA to East London. Once you get out of America the Air Travel gets much better. Workers are more professional and they take their jobs more serious.
The outfitters are going to offer you deals and specials, you need to be disciplined and wise not to run up a bill.

Thanks!

Wow that is a lot of deer.

Thanks for the information on the flights and the hunting.

Concur, I am at the end of my 2nd tour in Germany right now as a civil servant. We flew to Iceland and Finland recently and both flights were great.

Our flights here in 2023, were bloody tough. But every flight in America is bloody tough.

There you go. Hang em proudly!

Damn that was fast. Nice!

Good morning,
Did you hunt w Leeuwkop at their ranch or in Zimbabwe? The ranch looks awesome, but I'll be in Zimbabwe for buffalo and whatever else we dig up.
What did you hunt for?
Vaccines?
What rifle did you use?
I feel like I need a good cotton safari shirt and an ammo belt to make the hunt feel right!
How often did you shoot prior to going?
Did you use sticks for shooting practice?
