Look at the Bergara premier series of rifles. It’s basically an improved 700 action. IMO they are comparable to a custom rifle at less than half the price. They are the first production rifles I have been impressed with in many years.

i got a good deal on a kimber montana in .257 roberts, 5.2 lbs nd 6.3lbs with a 4x leupold scope-light weight tally rings. keeps 117 gr sst bullets in to 3/4to1" three shot groups at 100 yards at 2900 fps with imr 4350.
