Gonarezhou Transfrontier Wilderness:

In the remote southeast of Zimbabwe, where the Mwenezi and Save Rivers carve through ancient sandstone and mopane forest, lies Gonarezhou National Park “The Place of Elephants.” This vast, 5,000 km² wilderness forms the heart of the Great Limpopo Transfrontier Park, a cross-border conservation area linking Zimbabwe, Mozambique, and South Africa.
For travelling hunters seeking an authentic, wild African safari, the Mozambican side of this ecosystem offers a rare opportunity: classic fair-chase hunting for Leopard, Lion, and Cape buffalo in terrain that has remained largely unchanged for generations.
The Mozambican sector of the Gonarezhou Transfrontier Park is an assortment of rugged koppies, riverine forests, and seasonal pans. This region, less traversed and more secluded than its Zimbabwean and South African counterparts, provides an unparalleled backdrop for the discerning hunter. The area’s isolation ensures minimal hunting pressure, allowing for the pursuit of mature, trophy-quality game.

Big Game in Abundance
  • Leopard: The dense riverine thickets and rocky outcrops of the Mozambican side create ideal conditions for leopard. These elusive cats thrive here, promising to the dedicated hunter a challenging pursuit.
  • Lion: The open savannahs and mopane woodlands support free-roaming lion populations. Hunting these wild apex predators in their natural habitat is a classic safari experience.
  • Cape Buffalo: The floodplains and grasslands teem with Cape buffalo herds. Known for their resilience and unpredictability, these formidable bovines define the standard of a dangerous game hunt.
Hunt Details – 18 September to 5 October 2025:
  • 18-Day Safari
  • Day Rate: US$1,500/day
  • Leopard Trophy Fee: US$11,000 (incl. Govt tag)
  • Lion Trophy Fee: US$42,000 (incl. Govt tag) - Wild lion – exportable to Canada, Mexico, and Europe
  • Buffalo Trophy Fee: US$6,000 (incl. Govt tag)
For the seasoned hunter seeking some genuine African exploration, the Mozambican expanse of the Gonarezhou Transfrontier Park offers a supreme adventure.
This is not a volume-based safari enterprise - it is a specialist operation for hunters who know the difference.
