Hello all, I attend Campbell University in North Carolina and was in our business building when I came across our heritage museum. The man in which the building was named after was a international big game hunter. He has a room full of his trophies in the building, I went through and snapped a few photos but was wondering if anyone knew anymore about him or some of the trophies that I am not familiar with. Attached are the photos I took. I can take more if anyone would like to see more!

Burrows T Lundy
Collected the specimens on Safari expeditions in the late 1960s and early 1970s.
It was donated in the late 1980's to Campbell University.
That would be a Leopard he hunted, not a Jaguar.

The ordeal the collection went through for restoration after a fire.

Awesome thank you for the information! It said Jaguar on the plaque of the head so I couldn't quite male it out, thanks again for your information!

Very cool, thanks for sharing! I live within about 2 hours of Campbell, maybe I can stop in someday

Definitely worth the drive amazing to see his collection! If you plan a trip the museum is only open Mondays and Tuesdays from 10:30-3:30. But they can open it by special appointment!

All the literature says Leopard. I'm going to check and stand corrected for believing them.
You never know if the restoration company just decided to label it or perhaps he was one of the last hunters on the planet to hunt one.

Someone had best change the name plate. I see Rosettes, not clusters. :)

I will take a individual picture of what they say is the Jaguar and let you decide what it is, I wasn't really paying attention to that with the monster situanga next to it haha!

Just look at those spots and you'll know in a minute. :)

The full body you were looking at was shot by his wife and on top of the case has a certificate from Rowland ward!

It is a nice cat.

Very nice, thanks for sharing!

But I am wondering if this was really donated by Burrows T Lundy or by Mrs. Burrows T Lundy, shortly after the passing of her husband.................

@375RugerFan no problem! I will find that out tomorrow! Also found out that there is another room full of more trophies like his lord derby's eland, sable and roan I will try and get pictures of!

Just realized you changed your avatar picture! Way cool bro.

Thanks for sharing Alex, a very good collection !

Very nice. There is a collection like this at Cumberland University in Lebanon Tn. It's a shame when someone hunts a lifetime and builds a fine trophy room only to have family give it away when they are gone.

Just wanted to say thanks for the excellent customer service. Ordered some 9.3x62 brass and the delivery was a little short. An email through your website Contact Us link was replied to the next day with the tracking info for the correction. Good pricing coupled with great customer service will see returning customers every time. Thanks again!

I am righthanded, so not interested in the rifle, but I have a 375 RUM and 350 gr bullet loading data is very hard to come by. If you could reply with information regarding your loads I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you, Ray Boone, Leavenworth, WA
