Importing skulls from UK

Hey Guys,
Looking into the possibility of a short hunt in UK at the end of March. What are the import/export requirements to get trophies back to Canada? I have a hard time making sense of all the requirements online and thought I would try to get some first hand knowledge. Would just be looking at bringing back European mounts of CWD and Muntjac. Is it possible to bring as checked luggage like some countries? This is what I will be doing in Feb with my NZ trophies with very little paperwork involved.
Any info/direction would be appreciated.

I'd call the local CFIA office to make sure they have not changed some policy.
The UK does not have any nasty diseases we don't have already, so I can't imagine there will be an issue if they are clean and dry.
