Hippo in Limpopo ???

Are you thinking of doing a hunt in Limpopo or wanted to read stories bud ?

I have shot 3 in Limpopo, Mokolo River - Crocodile River & Limpopo River all PCA - Problem Causing Animals - like PAC, two I bid on privately & one that I was the third tag along PH, the hunter wounded it & after three days had to return home, left there on my own I tracked & hunted it for near a week, sleeping on the ground before finally shooting him.

One had killed a worker & gone crazy in the crop fields near the river, he had been shot three times before (two different shotgun blasts to the face/head & a large caliber rifle side to side, with bullet still in his head) & had a very nasty snare wound on his leg, the others had attacked workers with minor injuries but scared shitless & not doing full days work in the fields.

All were on land & super exciting, a much under rated hunt !

How were you able to bid on them ? Day time hunts ? Big bulls? Cost ?

Emm I’m a PH in Limpopo, my friends & I have a lot of contacts with property owners I always let it be known I’m keen on any PCA permits (of any animal species) that turn up during the season, I can hunt on my own & very cheaply, I hunted day (in super thick river side Bush, not smart that but exciting when Bushpigs near knock you over) but in the end those were all shot just after dark or very late, two by hand held light (coming straight at me) & one in the Moon light .

Two Big Bulls & one a younger Bull but he was the killer !
