Dumb question, can I rebuild a M70 Push Feed with a M70 CRF bolt?

I happen to have a Push Feed Stainless m70 and a spare m70 Stainless bolt.

Was going to rebarrel to 375, currently is a 300 Win. Safety has issues, it's been torn apart and fixed by quite a few gunsmiths.

I am more of a M700 armorer and this is outside of my wheel house.

My thoughts are that if it fits, feeds and works and I can headspace a new barrel with an extractor cut it should be awesome.

What do you think?

I am not a Win 70 expert, nor do I have any lying around to compare. The first thought that I have is the ejector would also have to be addressed if this conversion was possible. Plunger vs standing ejectors.

The spare stainless bolt is a CRF bolt.

I thought about putting it into the rifle and checking it, but I don't am afraid I don't have a way to get it apart if it gets stuck in there.

Short answer is no.
-You would need to rebarrel
-Ejector designs are completely different
-Bolt raceway is most likely a different size.

Had not thought about the raceway.

Had an excellent classifieds transaction with JoninCO. A truly honest and standup member. I wouldn't hesitate at all to deal with him again. Thanks, J!

Hi Lance, Hope you well. I collect Mauser rifles and they are very much part of my cultural history in Africa. Would you consider selling the rifle now a year on ? I'd like to place it in my collection of Mauser rifles. Many thx

I saw where you hunted elephant with backcountry safaris in Zimbabwe.
Was looking to book an elephant hunt and wanted to know how your hunt went
and if you would recommend them.

Thanks
Mike
