I recently visited Champlin and had a great time talking to George. I went with the idea of coming home with a new Chapuis 450/400 double rifle. As I dug through the stacks (and if you've visited Champlin, you know exactly what I mean), I came across some gold. I said, wait...is that really...a Fraser??? Once I held it, I could hardly set it down. It came alive in the hands like a good sporting rifle but more like a good shotgun. I actually fell in love with 2 guns and came home without the Chapuis! I will share the other gun in a different topic.
I never really thought I would find a Daniel Fraser takedown but here it is. It's actually built by Fraser and serialed in their logbook...but finished and sold by H&H and also serialed to their logbook. So it's a Daniel Fraser and Holland & Holland. Caliber is 360 Nitro Express. Details are overflowing on this gun. Cock on closing Mauser 95. I do not have the original H&H rings that go into their scope mount system. Case is not original to gun but besides that, it's incredible. I'm thrilled to have it.
This is how I found it...
