Look what I just saw at a gun shop in Scotland, a Blazer S2 double, brand new, with 30-06 barrels, excellent wood. 5600 pounds.

Any idea how difficult it would be to import to the US? That is not a bad price. 30-06 would be a great woods rifle for black bear and deer.

It’s doable. I just imported a 500 Nitro barrel for mine from Australia. It’s expensive! The S2 on gunbroker would be way cheaper in my estimation.

I figured that was probably the case, possible but pricey. I will research the topic a bit more.

It’s quite easy. I have done it a number of times. My most recent and economical was with Peter Johansen at mygunimport.com.

Export from the UK is fairly easy. I have now exported a few rifles and shotguns from the UK to Canada. I’m not sure about the US, but here I can do the whole import and customs clearance myself.

There are deals to be had for sure in Europe, sometimes it requires communication in German, Spanish, Swedish, etc though. And sometimes it takes a long time (I’ve been patiently waiting on an export permit from the Spanish authorities for a few months now…)

I have a Blaser S2. And I am very keen of it. I use Lapua mega 285 gr home loaded. You can regulate the right barrel. But do not do that before you have regulated your sight for the left barrel. And do not change the bulletweight or charge.
Changing the charge to the weaker will make the left barrel shoot to the right and the right barrel to the left.As much as 10 inches changing to 232 gr
My advice: Choose your bulletweight and charge and stay there.
(It took me ½ a year to learn that)And you can shoot very precise with it

I just saw Budsgunshop.com has both the guide gun and the African for $1150. FWIW - I bought both and decided to use the Guide gun - I restocked it in a Bell and Carlson stock and I added the Alaska arms floor plate to add a round. I wanted the shorter barrel as I will use a suppressor. I wont go lower than $1100, but I will ship it and no sales tax.

Let me know if you are interested
