Alliant RL22?

Anyone have any they’d be willing to part with or know how to find it? It’s been unavailable for a while now it seems. It was my powder of choice last Africa trip for my 7mm 160 gr Swift A frames and now I can’t find it. I’ve found a suitable alternative at the range today but had some of the old ones and put 3 in the same hole so it made me wish for it!

It is best for you to find a alternate powder.

As long as the war in the Ukraine is going on you won't see it since it is a major powder for military ammo. I just wished that i had picked up the last jug of it that I saw a couple of years ago. It was quite expensive but it would of lasted me the rest of my life. I still have a few pounds left that is going to stay in my loading room.

Check Western Shooters Supply the website, and I tested it by adding a 5 pound jug in my cart, shows RL 22 in stock $59.99/ lb and $284.99/ 5 lb.

I've never ordered from this company so vet them before ordering.

I’d be cautious…. Only takes wire transfer, Zelle & Google pay.

That’s a heavy red flag for a scam!

I feel your pain though, last time I was able to get my hands on it was 2019 before the war started….. my favorite powder.

I Googled Wester Shooters Supply and saw several warnings that it’s a scam.

Westernshooterssupply.com was registered with Hostinger operations, uab on 17th of January 2024. They use the email sales@westernshooterssupply.com and the phone numbers (214) 506-3060.

Unfortunately, any site that has RL 22 available in quantity is a SCAM.

Seems like RL-22 and MRP are the same powder? I think I have some of both I’d sell but I can’t ship. You might DM me where you are.

Thanks for the replies…I’d thought this was the situation but it was worth the check.

The powder sub I settled on came down to Vihtavuori N560 vs N165 and N165 won by the slightest of margins. But damn that RL22 put 3 in the almost same hole!

I have found IMR4831 to perform pretty much the same as R22.
