Wanted run this by other, got a recipe from jj. 300gr bullet with 72-73gr of IMR 4350
270gr bullet with 75gr of IMR 4350
All with CCi 250 LMR primers.

Said it was what he used
Wanted to get an opinion weather load seem high for a flanged load. Weather it seem more of a belted load.

I use Vihtavuori N160 for my doublerifle in .375 Flanged Magnum, my recipe is 77 grains N160, Norma cases, Federal 215 Large Rifle Magnum and Hornady DGX Bonded 300 grains bullets.

It is the very same recipe that the gun was regulated by the maker.

Made up and test the load it shot great, accuracy not sure shot a water jug it exploded pretty good. But a thumper still with 270gr speer

An accurate chronograph is a reloaders best friend. If you are over the max V shown in the reloading manuals, chances are you are over max pressure as well.

Like to know which reloading manuals have 375 flanged magnum in them, as I can't find a recipe from any local books(USA). Not to worried as I got the recipe from JJ perodeau the gunsmith. I will eventually chrono the load only shot two loads so far and was shooting for fun and breaking the 7 month wait for the first shot with it

Thank for the info, I will eventually get around to chronoing the recipe from JJ, if it high it nice to have other recipes to look to. Beside I'm not taking it to African right now so it doesn't need to be buffalo down and shoulder punching load.

4350 has always been a favorite of mine, but never got the best accuracy out of it in the 375 or flanged. (Did get the highest velocity) IMR 4064 has been a better powder for me. 67 grains in the standard, 64 in the flanged.....(with 300's). Best of luck with your loads.............FWB

One thing I did notice with the IMR 4350 is it is near or above the shoulder level so not alot of space to seat the bullet.

I need to know if this is legit. Photo with today's paper would do it.

Thanks

I just saw Budsgunshop.com has both the guide gun and the African for $1150. FWIW - I bought both and decided to use the Guide gun - I restocked it in a Bell and Carlson stock and I added the Alaska arms floor plate to add a round. I wanted the shorter barrel as I will use a suppressor. I wont go lower than $1100, but I will ship it and no sales tax.

Let me know if you are interested
