The DR is a .470 NE guild gun, Fabrique d’armies de Leige (engraved on right barrel) made in 1956 according to the proof stamps. It resembles a Francotte action. Chopper lump, double under lug with hidden third bite.

As best I can tell, the rifle was built in 1956 by Fabrique d’Armes Unies de Leige. Simply put, its a guild gun.

I have a Mark II .300 WM in mint condition I will sell you for $1K. It was an estate rifle and never fired. I pit about 20-rds of factory ammo through it. I also have a Timney trigger for it still in the packaging. I will throw that in with it. DM me if interested.

JJ is a genius. He did the same work on my .470 NE. Milled the factory rib for one of his RMR mounts. When the sight is removed, you can't even tell there has been work done because it looks original. That K-Gun is a beautiful rifle. Good Luck with your sale. and good hunting.

I had the same debate with myself when looking for my first DGR and it came down to availability. JJ Perodeau sold me a Dakota 76 in .416 Rigby and that was that. If I was doing a custom rifle, I would pick .404 Jeffery.

I am taking Qatar to Harare. There is a stop in Doha. 22-hours total I believe. The were the least expensive and shortest flight from Dulles(IAD).

Thank you. I am researching components and equipment now. My Dillon progressive press does not have shell plates available so I will be acquired a single stage specifically for this beast. @Wildcatter did give me his data and I got some additional input from Mr. Caswell at Champlin.

Just received my first DR thanks to @Wildcatter. The rifle is exquisite. It is a hand made Francotte actioned .470 NE built in 1956. Rarely fired . All hand engraved and checkered with color-cased hardening. Pictures do not do it justice.
