Be careful with loading .416 Barnes based on other loads. Barnes TSX are copper, so they are typically longer than a lead bullet to get the same weight. A lot of TSX loads are compressed, especially in the Ruger case.

Can you even get a M70 or a Ruger 416 right now? I know they are showing as available on their sites, but I haven’t seen a new version of either available in a year.

Forgive my ignorance, but what is the issue with the round nose solid for an elephant? I see some of these are for sale and thought about picking up 100 for the .416 ruger. How do they compare to say a DGS ?
