Americase AT-3GUN Safari Case Special Run For AfricaHunting.com

Oh, I'm not giving up hope. Just making an statement and I also forgot to thank Rookhawk for his efforts. As far as travel cases, I bought an SKB, it lasted about 5 airline trips before the airline gorillas broke a handle and crushed a corner. Couldn't find an aluminum case at the time...

Sounds to me like they don't want to do it and are pricing accordingly. Thank you for your efforts on this RH.

Companies that are Non-Supportive of Hunting

Let me add... Like it or not the NRA is the most influential pro-gun org. in the world. Boycotting or refusing/withdrawing support from them is seen as a win by the anti-gunners. You don't have to like them; You don't have to be a member, but it's probably better to keep it to yourself. THX

Companies that are Non-Supportive of Hunting

I've read through this entire thread and want to add my .02 No matter how it's labelled anti-gunner is anti-hunting. They are the same mold, period. Apparently being anti-NRA means a company/individual is just misunderstood. Just like the anti's want us to think...

Anyone ever had trophies lost during the import process?

I hunted in Sonora Mexico in January of 2016. I was told there were import issues due to ticks, fleas and such... Even after contacting the outfitter, my mule deer location is still unknown.... I've given up hope of ever seeing it or getting my taxidermy down payment refunded.

Wanted Federal Black Cloud TSS BB&7 Ammo

BeeMaa, I missed the TSS in the title and I also missed the thread from January "TSS ammo... is it worth it?" < smh> However, since I am in the Mississippi flyway and I end up in the ammo section in every store I visit that has one... I'll keep me eyes open

Wanted Federal Black Cloud TSS BB&7 Ammo

I have two boxes I'll part with. Older 6 years or so but always stored in climate controlled gun safe. (Goose hunting buddy passed and I haven't gone since)

    Shooting from sticks

The set up time for quad sticks isn't bad, it's when an animal is moving that they can be tricky. Especially if you don't have a set to practice with. I practiced for my S.A. trip off a BOG pod tripod since I thought that tripod would be the most common shooting. As it turned out- I took 2...

    2022 optics for .375 H&H

I really appreciate all of the input. I have learned a few things this last week. No scope from any manufacturer is immune to breakage like I had on the hunt I described. Because of that, I will probably be going with QD rings and 2 scopes, pushing this well above my upper end of...

    Browning A-Bolt Hunter II .375 H&H - Questions

Looking back, My timing was so right for this gun. Two days from talking about buying a LH 375, I found the A Bolt II on GB. I'm glad to read others have had luck with this model. The biggest beef I have with certain manufacturers... "We don't sell many left hand guns in those calibers...

    2022 optics for .375 H&H

This is why I asked the question. I'm torn between a 1-4 or 1-6 or something like a 2-10 on a gun that can clearly reach out and touch something

    2022 optics for .375 H&H

Last day of the hunt. I was thinking the pressure was getting to me because the clock was ticking. Yeah, not the best decision in hindsight... I had also shot an animal on day one. So the guide and I were both thinking it was me. As the one pulling the trigger... The shooter always is...

    Browning A-Bolt Hunter II .375 H&H - Questions

Resurrecting this thread... I bought a LH A-Bolt 375 H&H and was planning on using it for buffalo in a couple of years. I'm reading (on multiple sites) this is not a DG rifle. Could someone explain? Did I make a bad choice?

    2022 optics for .375 H&H

I know it was a different manufacturer, and an older scope, but.... I have been on a paid guided hunt with only one gun and had the internal workings of a scope break, causing me to miss multiple animals under 150 yards. The guide must have thought bad case of buck fever. However; I felt...

    2022 optics for .375 H&H

This has been my thought process as well. Was leaning Leupold VX-3 HD 1.5 to 5, but don't want CDS. May have to increase my price to get less options on a scope

    2022 optics for .375 H&H

Seems like ALL Leupolds have the CDS. Leupold is one of the brands myself and others have questioned recent quality. (and too many bells and whistles that aren't needed in most hunting situations) I like Leupold, but a warranty won't do me a spit of good face to face with Buffalo. Don't...

    2022 optics for .375 H&H

Back in 2014 when I first started looking into an African hunt and researching animals, guns, equipment, etc. I read 300 Win Mag was a good option for all plains game and a minimum of .375 H&H for buffalo. I have shot left handed my whole life due to eye dominance... I had a LH Browning 300...

    Shooting sticks vs Tripod

High & Heavy (in the US) make sitting sticks. Also Gun Stix have adjustable height (sitting to standing) I haven't used my Gun Stix yet, but definitely agree with the difficulty using full height 4 Stable quad sticks sitting

    Shooting sticks vs Tripod

They take some practice just like shooting off 3 leg or bipod rests, but can be used uphill, downhill, etc. just like the others. Carry them extended, like a walking stick for faster deployment.

    4 Stable Sticks Preliminary Review

I have used the High & heavy sticks for sitting shots on bear, turkey, and 200+ yd shots at the range. I used the The 4 Stable sticks in S. Africa, and... have recently bought (but have yet to use) the Gun Stix High & Heavy sticks are light but they don't make standing sticks anymore. The 4...
