They correspond to the form’s number in the catelog-avaialble on internet or a paper version. With that number you can determine direction of turn and sizes available. Most taxidermists will slightly alter a form in some way or another

    Eastern Cape April Vs July

Just watched a YouTube video called “double trouble/dad and daughter safari with John x.” It is apparently recorded near Easter, which will give you some visual reference about spring hunting. I just booked my next trip for July 2025 so you know which direction I lean towards. Brickburn has not...

    No hunting in Washington DC

Back in 2018 I flew home from RSA through New York and while waiting for guns to clear we met a man and his son also from DC. They had enjoyed a successful hunt that included sable and buffalo. They were good company. I hope you can likewise make a successful hunting adventure far from home...

    Eastern Cape April Vs July

I’ve only gone the last Week of July but have enjoyed the weather both trips. Cooler there so almost no insects or snakes. I would wear a jacket and warm hat early but after breakfast was in a t shirt or hoodie the rest of the day. There have been occasional rains that cool things but they...

    30/06 165 grain

I agree 100% with that shooting instructor. I used the 165’s on my last trip and they worked great, it’s worth reiterating that bullet placement is king! The original trophy bonded bear claws were great for kudu down for me, a bit much for the steenbok :ROFLMAO: 180 grain maybe preferable if...

Is it disrespectful to the animal?

I am reminded of the Idaho fish and game officer that lost his job for shooting a bunch of baboons and posing them for a “family”picture. I have always liked the tradition of placing a bit of foliage in the mouth of the game and the hat of the hunter. It requires the hunter to think about...

Is it disrespectful to the animal?

I hate it but my wife and kids think putting a Santa hat on a cougar is the best thing that ever happened to a cat dead or alive. I’ve always hated when hunters sit or stand on dead animals. But I’ll allow as to each their own, we don’t all perceive things the same way

Eland Cartridges for recoil sensitive shooter?

Maybe when selecting your hunt and your ph ask if they have a suppressed camp rifle avaialble. Most have one and it will be tried and true on eland. Suppressors are a game changer for kids and other “flinchers.” They are common in Namibia and RSA compared to the USA where they are just still...
