Which Schmidt model Bender Scopes (non straight tube) have mounting real estate to fit on Rigby Big Game Actions with the Recknagel rings

S&B Stratos 1.5-8x42.
It did not workout for me. It was sitting too far forward for my eye.
Replaced it with a Leupold VX-6 1-6X24.

It looks good on the rifle....did it miss for you buy much (comfort wise) are you average height or shorter/taller....it looks like it would work for me, I generally like a rifle with long LOP which the Rigby's have.

No chance of scope bite !

I was about to start a thread asking these same questions for a scope to put on the Big Game PH in 416 I just bought.
I have a Swaro z8i 1-8 on my Highland Stalker and a Leupold VX-5HD 2-10 on my Big Game PH in 375. The Leupold has just enough mounting realestate, the Swaro offers alot more but thats a given as it's a straight tube scope. I do find the eyebox on the Leupold seems to suit me better than the Swaro, not sure why. So I am considering a Leupold VX-5HD 1-5 for the 416, from what I can find online the tube dimensions provide enough moutning real estate for the Rigby Big Game.

that scope could easily be set farther back in Recknagel mounts. The front ring offset is available in various lengths. You would just need a longer "leg" for the front ring.

So given that what is more versatile for a .416 a 1.5-8x42 Stratos or the exos 1-8x24 ? Is there that much difference in low light performance of these two scopes in actual hunting situations ?

The exos is dearer

The 3-12x50 zenith arrived today, that will be used on the .350...I'll have a look at it later I know the Zeniths are "old tech" now but I like the look for classic gun.
