This is 308 peak from another company. 150grain at 3050. It was in Backfire some time back. I don’t think it did 3000 and I don’t personally love Nosler BTs but it is a little more pop.

I get 2743 out of the Hornady 165CX superformance in my Kimber. I’m super happy with that.

Just by hand loading the 308 with cfe223 and 150s I get 2,950fps with no pressure signs. Another member using the same powder gets over 2,800fps with 168 gn gold dots.

I know a lot of guys feel like they/we can accomplish similar levels with hand loads or other cases… the reality is that you cannot. Loads are already running 94k psi in contract loadings according to some of the manufacturers. This is not about hunting, this is about our military having the most dynamic for caliber loadings possible and, with PXT, solid barrel life. I think you will find the “but I can get XXX” with my hand loads a moot point as this advancement gets fully implemented.
