When I moved to Wyoming 16 years ago, I brought along my black book of addresses of friends and neighbors phone numbers and addresses. It has been laying around in the cabinet for years as I rarely refer to it anymore. Last night I thought of a guy who used to work for me who I had not been in contact with for years, so I thought I would look him up and give him a call. As I paged thru looking for his number I was shocked at how many of these people have already died. Made me feel lucky to be still alive and enjoying what life has to offer. Certainly can't take life for granted, especially after 70.

That really puts things into perspective. It’s amazing how something as simple as an old address book can remind us just how quickly time passes and how important it is to stay in touch with the people who matter. Definitely a good reminder to make that call while we still can.

Best get their CHILDREN's addresses and phone numbers updated if you want to find out what has happened to them.

And BTW, have them give that updated info to their blasted churches, will ya!!!! "that old church didn't even come see ma and pa in their last days..." Hell, we couldn't even FIND them...grrr. I was doing a graveside service and looked over and saw the grave marker of someone we had been seriously looking for! Obituaries--nobody can afford them, and it is all social media now. WHAT funeral home did they use--who knows, so you can't look it up that way. I should have hired a skip-tracer by lying and saying it was for debt collection.
Pardon my rant.

Yes, time passes by fast. As the saying goes….if you don’t fly first class your kids will….

Even something unrelated like podiatrist medical billing can remind us how many different lives and stories are out there. Certainly can't take life for granted, especially after 70.
That kind of experience can really put things into perspective. It’s amazing how a simple old address book can bring back so many memories and remind you how much time has passed. I’m glad you’re still here and able to enjoy life and appreciate the people and experiences around you. Definitely a good reminder not to take any of it for granted.

A skip tracer is someone who finds you, no matter where you've gone, for a fee, usually because you owe money. It was a joke.

Do you mind me asking what auction you are referencing? I'm not in the market for any of those rifles...just curious.

Good morning from Montana.

I'm looking at a post from 2018 where you were looking for a lefty Winchester in .375 H&H Magnum. I'm selling mine. My email is [redacted] in the event that you're still searching for a unicorn.

Best,

Kelly Palmer
