Argentina Exporter Raided Trophies Seized

Was the $2,036 for all 4 stags and a blackbuck? Or is that just your portion of it?
That was for all of it., but that does not include shipping.

I noticed that.

I think it's interesting they are collecting the export fees that fast when the delay is a known current issue. Hopefully it is just a sign that things are starting to move quicker down there.

I was thinking the same thing. The outfitter told us about the issues and made sure he had our boarding passes, passport pics, all of it. They seemed pretty squared away. Then when we were asked for this money so quickly I really thought that things were moving fast and that was a good sign. But now I am reading about the big backlog and if we are behind them (and rightly so) this is not going to go quickly.

Anybody have an update on this or gotten their trophys back? I received an email from AP company w/ a shipping invoice, but I'm hesitant to pay if it is still going to be months before anything happens...

A recent check-in from our group of 10 hunters showed no obvious progress. I don’t know anyone who has gotten trophies in the last 3 years. I cancelled any return plans until it is sorted out.

We got a bill from AP company today as well. They said we are 30-40 days out from receing our trophies. They say this shipping bill has to be paid before it ships. We are going to pay it and cross our fingers.

:S Welcome: To AH

Pay it now, or pay it later…. You have a better chance of your trophies shipping if they have payment.

Yeah- I paid for airfare. I paid for the hunt. I paid for an extra animal. It would be dumb to not pay for the shipping at this point.

My son and I were there in March of this year and ours are about to ship. We hunted with MG Hunting and Safari Importers has done a great job (as Wyatt always has for me wherever the location) monitoring the process and keeping me informed. The consignment consists of three red stag and a water buffalo.

Shitty deal.
If they are trying to eliminate a major source of income...in a country that is struggling this is the perfect game plan.
Stupid is as stupid does.

For the record, we hunted w/ El Carrizal and they use AP Company Global Logistics. Both have been extremely responsive, and I honestly didn't have any concerns until I stumbled across this thread following my trip. I still have a good feeling about everything and am excited to receive my stag and buffalo back in a timely manner.

Nice animals, What outfitter did you hunt with??
El Pampa. First rate from beginning to end. Couldn’t recommend enough.

Hi Dr. Ray, I will be in Cooktown from Oct 16 to Oct 23 fishing Lizard Island Black Marlin Tournament.

I have several "slack" days after fishing before I head for stay in Sydney and Fiji.

Do you have any recommendations for 1 or 2 day hunt near Cooktown?

I've hunted both DG and PG in 4 different countries in Africa.
Thank you,
Bob
